I used it for part of last season. Using that 5 wide set but lining up Gates and LT as receivers FTW.

Fifty said:How could you line them both up as WRs? The set is 5 WR. I can understand switching to TE slot to get the TE lining up wide, but where do you get LT from?
SickBoy said:Wow, four drops in my game vs. Matt. Boo-urns.
Might have to return to the 3-4. Tried the Cover 2 playbook because I thought it was a fit for St. Louis' style. Not so much. Might give the standard 4-3 playbook a go if I get another exhibition game in, but I think I'll probably wind up using the "Multiple" playbook again this year.
Also, PA rollouts are ridiculous in this game. But I think we already knew that
(I had a corner blitz, and the *corner* bit on the run)
Fifty said:Since a surprising 7 people have voted for the league to start next Thursday, yet Friday is still winning..maybe we could compromise and extend the length of the first week by a couple days. I have no issues with the league starting tomorrow and advancing in the usual 4 days or so, but I don't want to alienate 7+ people.
And oh yeah, if you're one of the 12 people who hasn't voted..

Slo said:Is there a way to hot route receivers in to post/corner routes?
...that's exactly what I said...it's the exact same function as the stick......................LiveWire said:Nope. Only routes are drags, slants, hooks, go, slant and go, and ins and outs.
Oh and Rors, the manual just says Left Stick or D-pad is "lead the receiver." It says nothing about up being a jump pass--even though many times it will lead to one.
In my experience the only way I can trigger a speed receiver beat his man and get separation for the deep ball is to use up on the D-pad. As I experimented against dammitmattt, even when the QB is fully set with no pressure, a WR on a go route will not get that separation without using up on the stick/d-pad and you will throw an INT 9 times out of 10.
Rorschach said:D-Pad is the same as the thumbstick in all parts of the game from the menus to calling hot routes, to controlling the player.

Luckily, you're not on my schedule, so you can continue leaving the middle wide open and blitzing on every down. :]LukeSmith said:Fifty is right, it is hard to beat someone on a "go" -- even with Harrison. Most of r0rnex's throws involve him scrambling to the right while a dude comes over the middle tho, so he doesn't really throw a lot of go

Curse yo--wait ... or maybe it's just that I suck, but you suck more! Don't ruin a good thing. I can cut you in on some of this Eeyore pie.LukeSmith said:bu-bu-but 67................
Now you're trapped, I've exposed your ego and the eeyore routine is dead!

The reason it works so well for DM is because he loves playing defense so much. I think he likes it a lot more than playing offense. He'd probably punt on first down if he knew he had to pass on third.

It's funny, because its true! I get my jollies off of nailing punts inside the 5....mmm!
I lost 2 games last season because I tried to actually score TDs in the redzone instead of kicking the gimme FG. If I win those 2 games, I might have had a deeper run in the playoffs! Never again! Project: DMBall II is online.
