it's official. in order to appease everyone, week 1 will open in 1 hour. week 2 will not begin until monday, 11/19, then it's back to the normal advancement time!

On another note, I just played against the cheesiest person I've ever seen. He used the Chargers and his offense consisted of running around like an idiot trying to get it to Gates. EVERY SINGLE PLAY he would call an audible, change routes, and put people in motion. He never punted. He started milking the clock right after halftime. On defense he took a LB wide of the D-line and manually blitzed until I torched him a few times. He blitzed every single play. He got off to a lead thanks to his cheesy play and all the Madden BS breaks going his way, but I came back with two 4th quarter TDs to take the lead and held him on his final drive to win.
Oh, and by the way, Champ Bailey had 337 yards returning kicks with 2 TDs. IN ONE GAME. I am loving the Broncos

that is why we play in a league! yes you hit speed bumps now and again when it seems like you are being cheesed, but nothing can prepare you playing against random madden people on xbl.

i have the awards set. just deciding whether to do them on league daddy or to do them on my site. if i do them on my site i have to dl/buy an html program since i dont have one on this computer :/

Not fun at all,that was some disgusting lag and we should have never played a league game like that.
Only damn quarter without lag was the 3rd.
Throw in losing Palmer twice to injuries in the game and having to face the Colts O with lag and it was over from the first quarter.
If my next madden game has lag like that Im going to have to quit and give my place to one of the noobs.
My connection is totally fixed now,I played a game of 2k8 with widget and had no lag.I dont know if it has something to do with having a refurb 360 or something,but this isnt fun for me and fun is all I want out of the league.

I didn't notice you playing weird..If anything you played smarter after the first quarter. You almost got back in it, bad luck aside. You had me scared until that final 4th down INT. The lag was weird..We've played tons of games without it, and you say your connection is fixed..That's very weird. I didn't mind it once the play started, I only noticed the lag in between snaps and on the playcalling screen. You should have told me that it was hurting your gameplay..as I said, I didn't really notice it when the ball snapped.

I was having tons of lag,shit I had to call timeouts just so I could call the right plays a few times.Hell my last play on O I could have easily gotten that first down running with Palmer and the game started lagging on me and you were able to tackle me.
Maybe my connection just hates Madden now or my copy is going to die.

Nice, getting the score run up on me in the first game of the season! Not only that, but I get to watch Ando showboat there, all the while he could have taken a knee and ended it, but no, that would make too much sense.
I also love how you loop your DE around the lineman on pretty much every PA I run, cheesed Alstott to milk the clock in the 2nd half, and just all around acted like a random Live ass hat at the end.

call it me being unfair, but when i have people i know and trust calling bullshit in your games we have a problem.
i'm not going to expand on it further, this reminds me of vumpler all over again. "what am i doing wrong? tell me what im doing wrong!" running up the score, abuse of DE's, etc.
i would prefer you stay in the league because you are a dependable player but if you dont cut the bullshit out you force my hand. you can say "sour grapes!" but the same players who have lost to you have lost big to other people and don't complain about the other player. conspiracy maybe but i can't ignore it.

im not booting him after this one game but as i said it's the last time i want to deal with this bullcrap, and if its not then the next time will be the last time.

Also why not explain that first interception I ran back in a little more detail? There was still 1:30 seconds left in the game and I was up by one touchdown. Yet another one of my guys picks it up, 2 of your guys whiff on tackles and I am 20 yards away from the endzone and run it in. It's funny, I don't really seem to remember this much of an outrage when someone stopped the game with less than 20 seconds left to intentionally try to bomb PA passes into the endzone and then called another time out to kick a FG as time expired. But oh noes, Ando returns a pick with 50 seconds left in the game OMG OMG OMG!!! Give me a fucking break.
