Great game Slo. What a shootout. Madden almost took the win from me but somehow I snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. That playaction rollout to David Thomas was a thing of beauty, and then Madden takes the ball away from me (while Thomas is covering the ball as I am holding RB). The one-handed Moss catch to take the lead with 1:10 to go in the 4th was the icing on the cake. :D I'd almost rather have Bush though! Goddamn he is impossible to tackle! :O

Funny thing about that INT I threw, before that play I read your D with Smart QB and audibled Moss to bypass his defender's short zone coverage. Somehow I overthrew him and you picked it manually with your safety, that was one of the best plays I've seen, great instincts.

I might have to change up my playoff predictions. I think you can take the NFC South over Ando.

I created a new stat category just now. A wave of inspiration hit me.

For now it's called Rushing + Recieving (could call it 'total yards', but it doesn't take into account QBs. There are two categories, automatically calculated. It adds up the total rushing yards + recieving yards for all players and does the same for TDs.

I figured with all of the dynamic recieving backs in the league, that we could benefit from having this. You can thank Slo and Reggie Bush for this. You can find it below (not in) the rushing stats on the main page.

Well yea, but I meant the way you went behind Moss upfield another couple of yards instead of trying to jump in front of him. And actually in my mind I thought I was spreading the ball around. I could've sworn Stallworth had 2 catches. The stats---they say no! :lol

The good Madden league news is I work one day in the coming week (Monday), and unless I go out of town, which is a possibility, my schedule should be very league-friendly.. for once.

That's a good thing because my promised move from late shifts hasn't yet happened due to some personnel changes at work.

Hello thread peoples. I might be available tonight after 7 mountain time depending how the day goes and tomorrow afternoon and evening.

It's my daughters birthday so we are doing a party this afternoon and if people/family stick around a bit tonight then I'm not available. So if you see me online playing either Assassins Creed or Guitar Hero then it's possible it's not me. Or if it is me I'm playing with friends/family. Cool? Cool :)

I was somewhat sad about losing my Cowboys, but boy am I loving Steve Smith! While I miss TO's size and strength, Smith's speed is awesome! 8 catchs for 222 yards for 2TDs should secure NFC player of the week honors!!

Oh DCX...If are so pissed about the score... quit blitzing every play and execute better defensely...quit throwing pick 6's....learn how to pass against a zone defense....and when it's over in the 4th quarter and I'm trying to run clock out.... quit calling timeouts!

Last time I checked, teams down by 41 in the 4th quarter dont call timeouts.... so don't bang the "Shawn isn't sim" drum here. I told you I was going to attempt to win big in response to your cute article on League Daddy, did you think I was joking? That being said I accumulated the bulk of my points in the first three quarters so I didn't run up anything.

Last point, I'm saddened you decided to drag our offline discussion onto the boards. This is the first and last post I'm going to make on this game. Like the AIM discussion I ended, I'm chopping the legs off this "discussion" for the sake of peace and harmony. :D

how about this guys: the next person who runs up the score in that fashion is getting an L unless you are recovering blocked punts/fumbles in the endzone for TD's there is no excuse. if you are up 28 points at half time or whatever it is, run the ball 3 times, punt the ball to your opponent. if he starts scoring some points then fine, put up more points on the board.

when you aren't on your game, you aren't on your game. it's not fun to get trashed because of it. now if this was a tight ball game and you returned a couple TD's late in the game so be it.

again as i say in the rules, i suspect people do this to boost their stats but don't. take the W, say nice game to your opponent and be done with it. there's no need for it otherwise.
