Official Madden Season 11 Thread: The school books say it can't be here again!

Valid point, but then you'd also be hurting the sliver of a chance that the Colts still have!
FMT needs to start losing. It's ridiculous. I'm starting to genuinely hate him for winning with the Niners and now Texans. I can't think of a game I've played with him that wasn't competitive, but we always end up at opposite ends of the standings. I think he's just a more responsible player who doesn't take as many dumb chances and therefore doesn't make as many dumb mistakes.
I need to win 10 straight games.

edit: ah, now I do feel a bit sorry for you, reading Luke's explanation as to why you lost. Maybe you'll join my support group for people who commit horrible turnovers at the worst possible time. We're meeting in the back room at Denny's near the airport in Phoenix next week.

Good to see you're having some luck with Seattle, Luke. The same opening game problems with DM. Seattles all about D and Josh Brown. Can you see why the offense is so problematic? No great receivers + Pressure up the middle = short passes. You should probably start Morris now, as I think he is by now, faster in game that SA.
Are you doing a lot of jukes and spins and truck stick with Benson? If you stay way from the spins and jukes in traffic, Benson isn't that bad. In terms of frequency of fumbles, I'd say they're about the same assuming you juke and spin. If you don't juke and spin, Benson fumbles a lot less than AP.sableholic said:

What a shit game that was for me... poor execution early (overthrows and underthrows R us), bad decision making, and then a couple of apparently badly beaten corners making great plays on the ball that otherwise might have gone for six (not on the INTs, those were just stupidity by me, especially the last one).
EDIT: Actually, the first INT looked like a great play for me, until the ball bounced off your DB's back and then he somehow managed to catch it.
The two defensive plays where I decided to mix things up, both translated into touchdowns. I don't think I would have won either way, but that added to a pretty high level of frustration... you played a good game, and I was happy to let you play DMball with no wrinkles..
Edge ran wild, though.

I actually tried to pass the ball in the 1st half and I ended up getting sacked half the plays I called :lol When I didn't get sacked, I was still pressured into stepping out of the pocket and dumping it off to a guy who's 2-3 yards away from me.
DMBall bailed me out in the 2nd half. I don't think I could have drove down the field passing if I was down late in the game.

Edit: WOW, DM just got a jetpack INT. Fucking bullshit. He was using the LB to cover Addai, and he wasn't doing a HORRIBLE job, but I easily had a step on him, but when he presses Y he jet packs in front of it for an INT. I'm done with this game.

I'm done with this game. Yeah it's mainly because I'm losing, but when I play like this I don't have any fun. The game is not fun. I quit. It's too stressful and there's not enough about it that's rewarding. Someone else can take the Colts. Someone who will enjoy it. It's been a fun ride but now is the time to hang up my shoes.

Yeah, this game is really testing my patience. I just had 5 turnovers in my game against Malley. 2 INT's which were my fault and three fumbles (2 of which were BS). One of my fumbles was on a punt return where I didn't even want to catch the ball, I was just trying to block Malley's players from downing the ball within the 5 yard line, but Hall decides to grab it and immediately fumbles it... Oh and to top it all off he didn't have any turnovers and I was pressing the strip button every time I tackled him.
As of now my goal for this season is to win the rushing title with Jerious Norwood.

I think quitting should be taken into consideration for future leagues/seasons and its team selections. Ill be the first to admit i basically told FMT i was through last year because playing with the lions was just KILLING ME, but that id play it out until a replacement was found because i felt its unfair to everyone else if i just up and left. (obviously i stuck it out because i cooled off and realized its just a game) It puts added pressure on FMT and the other head guys to find someone to play these games, and furthermore disappoints your opponents if they have to play you that week and all of the sudden you quit and there is no one to play the game.
Obviously broken 360's or personal matters are understandable, but just up and quitting because things arent going your way is pretty bad. You guys should think about those things PRIOR to actually committing for another season
