Official Madden Season 11 Thread: The school books say it can't be here again!

CB: I have never quit a league before and I wouldn't leave you hanging. I have entertained the idea for the first time ever and I was in the first league...hell, the first tourney and that was years ago (and there have actually been more than 11 seasons). This season is the "whatever it takes to win" season it seems like.
* NEW RULE! No physically pinching the D-line if you run a 3-4 Defense. Don't like that rule? Too bad. There is a glitch in the game where the DE's will go unblocked if they pinch down. It happens on a good enough percentage of the plays that it must be outlawed. Either don't run the 3-4 or don't pinch
* NEW RULE! No manually moving a defensive lineman. In other words, you can shift the d-line wherever you like (left, right, pinch), but you can't manually move a defensive lineman somewhere else.
* NEW RULE! No manually moving multiple secondary/linebackers near the line of scrimmage. In other words, you know it's going to be a run, so you pick your SS and move him up to the line. Then you pick the FS and do the same. Then you pick the linebackers and do the same. This is BS and cause for auto-loss.
* No Physical line spreading. In other words, you can't push LB + Up on the LEFT STICK/D-PAD. this is pretty cheesy and only helps an already over powered defensive line. You CAN, however, push LB + Up on the RIGHT STICK, which is a line stunt, but doesn't move the line. Cat fish?
* No manual blitzing with linebackers or defensive backs. Now, you can call on anyone to blitz from any position on your defense, it's just it can't be YOU controlling him. The reason is that the blocking AI can never pick up a human opponent properly. This is cheap as well, don't do it. There will be no compromising on my part with this rule. The one exception is that if you are playing linebacker/CB, and you are covering the field and the QB BREAKS THE POCKET, you can go after him. As soon as you see the QB scrambling to the right or left, you can go after him. If you have a CPU Controlled player CLOSE to the qb or already past the offensive line and you want to take control of him, feel free to do so!
You broke each and every one of these at one point or another. Some I could chalk up to accidents, but some of them (like the safety thing) were done on every down. It's bad enough playing the Jags, you don't need to do all that shit.

In the 3-4, I left the guys on the DL how they were, no pinching or nothing. I shifted my LB's either to the left, right, or left them be.
You know why you got sacked for the Safety? My DE/DT and two LB's on that side rushed and you were either trying to playaction downfield or JeMarcus was too slow to handoff.
So don't give me any shit of me "cheesing" with my DL.

WTF?! I don't give a fuck about the safety. You did all those things at one point or another and this has nothing to do with last season's record. WTF does that matter? And you didn't even address the manual secondary moving which you did on EVERY DOWN. You also manually blitzed the LB on two occasions, but I chalked it up to accidental because I snapped while you were switching defenders (to adjust your safeties...), but still..Striker said:

well there isn't much i can do about the situation. one person is saying one thing happened, and the other person is saying it didn't. i've played both players and both games were clean. i've never had a complaint about either players.
all i can do is stress the rules. before the snap on defense, you shouldn't be selecting mulitple defenders and moving them. pick the ONE guy you are going to control in the play (unless the play breaks down of course) and stick with it. if it is a crucial 3rd down in a 4 wide set and you need to move the CB's/LB's into coverage position fine. but otherwise pick your play and go with it.
also we should all know not to physically spread the line and all that stuff.

Everything about this fucking game makes me want to put a gun to my fucking head and pull the trigger. Maybe that would make things better. Apparently I am just not fucking intelligent enough to be able to do anything right. It has nothing to do with the ratings of the teams, obviously (look at the bills). It has everything to do with the intelligence level of the person controlling the team. I am apparently fucking stupid. Because I can't seem to do anything right in this game. Apparently I am just not fucking intelligent enough to be able to do anything right. It has nothing to do with the ratings of the teams, obviously (look at the bills). It has everything to do with the intelligence level of the person controlling the team. I am apparently fucking stupid. Because I can't seem to do anything right in this game. I don't even fucking care anymore.
