That shot is in his range and he has the balls to take it.

You're clearly delusional. Again, he's a 43% FG shooter. The fact that he hits long bombs sometimes doesn't make it "in his range", nor does it make it a good shot given the situation.

If he makes it and they win, he's a hero. He missed and they lost so it's just more ammo for the haters :p

Indeed, much more ammo. :p It's very telling that he'd rather "try to be the hero" than do what was best based on the game/clock situation, which would have been to use some clock to get a better shot rather than launching a 28-foot prayer with 20 left on the clock down 9 with 4:00 to go. Boneheaded. How you can say otherwise is beyond me.

The reason the Lakers are struggling is cos they have no offense or defense in the paint. Hell, Kandiman looked servicable tonight. I don't know how anyone can say Kobe is a "problem" for this team...

Certainly Kobe doesn't (and shouldn't) shoulder all the blame for this team's shortcomings; however, he most certainly IS a problem in terms of his decision-making at times and his domination of the rock. There's a reason that the Lakers haven't generated ANY sort of chemistry, even on offense, and it's not because "OMG everyone sucks except Kobe!" :D

BTW, did anyone catch Jeanie Buss blow Chucky up on ESPN radio today? When asked about Chucky's comments, she was like, "Look how many teams Chucky has been on". She also, said he claims he was mis-quoted but why would he even say anything close to that about the organization and the media needs to get off Kobe's ass.

I think Chucky is as good as gone. All they need to do is tank the rest while avoiding the franchise losing streak record :D

Guess the truth hurts, huh?

I never said he was trying to be the hero. I said if he made it and they won, he'd be the hero. He took an open shot he frequently makes....it just didn't fall this time...

Yeah, they have no PG....

I guess denial ain't just a river in Egypt... :D

Btw, who was the PG on those Bulls teams? Paxson? Armstrong? Kerr? Atkins averages more assists than any of them did. Jordan and (primarily, during the latter three-peat) Pippen were the "PG's", yet they...wait for it...dealt with it.

You act as if a team can't have chemistry or an offensive flow or a good record without a 7+ apg PG. Nonsense. Odom's an excellent passer-- why don't they utilize him in that capacity more?

Just stop it Loki.

Konex is killing me with his responses. He will never blame Kobe for anything. I imagine it was the same way with you when things never went Jordan's way, but I would hope even you were never in this much denial.

Seriously Konex, just become a T-Mac fan and stop torturing me.

Again, 43% FG shooter. He doesn't "frequently make" anything, much less 30 foot threes-- time to get your eyes examined. :p

Does he make deep 3'smore often than most players? Yes. That doesn't mean that he "makes them frequently", though. And it doesn't make it an idiotic shot given the circumstances. I can't believe you're even arguing this...:lol

That is up to the coaching staff who suck balls too. No consistency in the offensive (or defensive) system plus no pg who can be the "coach" on the court = chaos. Rudy Three was the worst thing to happen to this team all year...

Jordan was smarter than to jack up 30 foot threes in that situation. With one minute left and down 9? Sure. With 4:00 left, though? Never.

Hey, look guys! It's "hands over his eyes Konex"! Hello "hands over his eyes Konex". <waves> :D

In other words, yes, all these things contributed-- but your blatant refusal to admit any flaws in Kobe's game is incredible. :p

Yeah Kobe has TERRIBLE shot selection, he always has. I will never understand it. I mean he can work and get better shots for himself but he seems so fucking impatient at times. I hope he matures quickly and gets out of this phase otherwise he is clearly retarded.

Granted he was much better under Phil Jackson, so I don't know if this is from the lack of a real coach or just because he makes bad decisions.

Jordan couldn't sniff Kobe's range though :p

When he needed to he could. I have the tapes. :D

Besides, Kobe couldn't sniff Jordan's FG%, or efficiency, or defense, or MVP's....the list goes on, Kobex. :D

WTF? I have posted numerous times that he needs to stop disrespecting his defensive assignment. That is a huge flaw in his game. Hassell had like 3 wide open looks tonight and he made them all. I know Kobe was helping with KG in the post but you don't cheat off jumpshooters >_<

You're the one who is blaming everything wrong with the team on the guy :lol

Not everything, just what's his fault-- like launching boneheaded shots at the most inopportune times. Anyway, to the new thread! :D
