Official Mario Kart DS topic!

added some people from recent pages in this thread, I'll add more later, trying to play now.
 
got the game but wouldnt you know my router isnt compat with the nintendo ds. i guess it's about time i got a new one anyway. i spent an hour or so making my icon. its bad ass. :)
 
How does it calculate win/loss? Says I'm 5-4, yet I've only actually won 3 GP's, a lot of them were ties.

The more I think of it, people should end up w/ more losses than wins overall. For every winner of a GP there are 3 losers (in a 4 person race).

It's simple: you get a win point for every racer you beat. Conversely, I think you get a losing point for every person who beats you.

it's win/loss versus everyone.

If you're
first place, you get 3-0
second place you get 2-1
third place 1 -2
last place 0 - 3
 
Why am I always the one who gets gang raped by multiple blue shells per race? I swear on Wario fucking Stadium, three leader shells. Two at the SAME TIME. It was like a fucking porno.

I kept getting disconnected all day and it turns out it was the freaking fault of the cordless phone. My sister in law was periodically using the phone which interferes with my wireless router. I thought I fixed that from yesterday by changing from channel 6 to channel 11.... now I am going to change it to 1 to see if it fixes it.

Ok, I'm trying to do a friends game and my DS searches forever. I have the indicator that says a friend is searching for a agme. After a while I might grab one person, but while it waits for more the person vanishes. Is there anything I can do about this?

Bah! I'm having trouble connecting.

It found my network right away. I put in the WEP deal and its been testing for the last 10 minutes. I'm assuming this isn't good. I'm guessing it would have connected right away.

Is it better to manually put in all the info?
 
I don't understand that whole deal about linking my DS to nintendo wifi... what's up with that? what benefits do I get by linking my DS to nintendo wifi?
 
For some reason it's rare for me to play in a game against 4 people. Is it because of my settings or because there aren't 4 people to play against?

Nevermind. I got it to work.

I go by DR3AMER. But, I'm not sure where I'm supposed to get those other numbers from after my name like y'all have. Is that your WEP address thingy?
