That's a fair comparison. You've slept with as many women as I have in the past thirty milliseconds. LOSER.

You quit now don't come bandwagoning when Mets win the game. The clique never gives up on its own.Qwerty710710 said:F**k this I'm not watching this game, Mets are making fool of themselves for the second night in a row. Lasting cost the Mets two runs again.

WHO'S YOUR DADDY?
They're up against some real AL power, that's what's going on.
nomaas.org said:Comments made by John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman during Monday night's game:
Sterling: "Cairo knows how to handle the bat."
Miguel Cairo on the season: .230 BA / .294 OBP / .300 SLG / .594 OPS
Perhaps by saying that Cairo "knows how to handle the bat," Sterling meant that Miguel knows how to pick a bat up off the ground and hold it in his hands?
Waldman: "Aaron Small cleared waivers and was outrighted to Columbus. I'm surprised he wasn't picked up by someone."
Apparently, the market for 8.46 ERA pitchers isn't as hot as it once was.

Y2Kevbug11 said:LOL Pedro's fastball is like 91, 88, 86...
Yeah that's gonna fool Manny Ramirez.
LJ11 said:Pedro has been topping off at 91-92 for the past two seasons, where have you been? He's usually around 88 most nights. He didn't have his head in this game from the start. If he made the throw to second to start the double play we would have been out of the inning with no runs allowed.
Y2Kevbug11 said:I've watched a few starts and it usually SITS at 91 at least, it usually doesn't TOP there. I've seen a few starts where he doesn't break 90, but he has to be particularly creative in those starts.
And something tells me that doesn't work against the Sox. I think the problem is more deep seated than the first inning jitters anyway.
vatstep said:Seriously, the Red Sox will maybe lose a game to the White Sox next weekend, but otherwise this streak isn't ending anytime soon.
..then you missed the Nationals game where he hit 95 and 96... three times.LJ11 said:I've watched every Met game this season, every game, and the highest I've seen the gun reach is 94. Most games he tops out at 90-91, ask any Met fan and they will say the same. Pedro doesn't blow batters away with his velocity as he did in the past. Pedro uses off-speed pitches to set up his fastball. He's a different pitcher now. If you watched when he pitched against the Yankees, he may have hit 90 a handful of time but his off-speed stuff was on target all day.

In the time where he was facing Guillen (or was it Soriano) he hit 94+ in the at-bat. I definitely remember one 96. Later on the radio I heard Eddie say he hit it on 2 other occasions "when he needed to".LJ11 said:I don't recall him ever hitting that high on a consistent basis. You're telling me he hit 94+ 6 times in that game? Or are you saying he was 95-96 on 3 seperate occasions? I could buy the later but I would have definitely remembered him hitting the gun at 94+ that many times.

Mifune said:Pedro hurt his hip in Florida and hasn't been the same since. The sooner management acknowledges this the better off the team will be. This playing through the pain stuff will prove disastrous.
Link said:All I can say is I'm pissed off our division turned into the best in baseball at this point. We keep winning and we still don't make up any ground.
Mifune said:Oh I hope it's a minor thing, too. Thing is, it probably WAS a minor injury that has lingered around and gotten worse because he's played through it. If there's one thing that really annoys and disturbs me about the Mets, it's their unwillingness to acknowledge injuries. The word is practically taboo to Mets management.
Cliff Floyd sprained his ankle weeks back. Anyone with eyes could see it was a fairly serious injury. So do we send him to the DL immediately and let him recover? No, we list him as day to day (meanwhile, Cliff can barely walk) and then FINALLY D-list him after the ankle doesn't miraculously heal within a few days. Sure, the delay didn't cost the team anything, but it's a troubling trend. Beltran was dealt with similarly earlier in the season. And I fear the same thing is happening with Pedro, except he's playing through it...to the tune of 6 earned runs in 3 innings. Heath Bell could give us that in a spot start.
And in case I wasn't clear...THE SKY IS FALLING!!!! AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!
R_GILL said:God damn, Lilly has a sore shoulder. Why are all of our starters going down.
Dez said:eh, his shoulder was sore before this game as well.. he expects to be okay, i'm pretty sure he will be. Anyway, I always look forward to the possibility of McGowan coming up to start. He seems like he might be ready.
