guys week 2 needs to be finished by tonight. for the games that aren't finished:
* if you are ready to play and your opponent isn't, let me or one of the commisioners know. we will fill in or find a fill-in
i know this isn't exactly fair to all parties, but we need to get this show on the road ladies!
in other news, me and ramirez had what i consider to be a top 10 all-time game in my madden/ncaa career. i will detail it below (mostly cause i won!)
game started off pretty laggy. it calmed down a little throughout, but there was still some lag at all times. definitely playable, just kind of annoying. anyhow typical first quarter, 7-0 on a big run by me. ramirez answers back with a 70+ yard td run. i answer back with a 12 play drive and im kicking the XP. ramirez blocks it, my rb picks it up and runs it in for 2, 15-7 at the half. ramirez drives down after the half to make it 15-13, gets the 2 pt conversion to tie it up. late 3rd, early 4th we BOTH miss questionable FG attempts (his was 50 yards, mine was 47 i believe). i get the ball back with about 2 mins left and 3 timeouts. i drive the ball all the way to the 35 with about 40 seconds left, 4th and 11 and there's no way im attempting that fg. so i punt it, and god damn i swear i angled it perfectly with the perfect power. looks like it's going out at the ONE INCH line, but they rule touchback. ramirez tries a couple runs and is content to let the clock run out. but with 10 seconds left he decides to just try a bomb. like an IDIOT i tell my D to play the run after the snap (wtf was i thinking...) and he gets a huge completion down to my 25 with 6 seconds left. He kicks the FG and misses! overtime!
start of OT1 i get the ball. drive all the way inside the 5 and stall, have to kick a fg. ramirez gets the ball, HE gets it inside the 10 and stalls has to kick a fg. OT2 first play for ramirez a 25 yard TD run. I get the ball and i'm struggling to move. i get stuffed on 3rd and 1 and now it's 4th and 3. so i drop back to pass and everyone seems covered, then my TE breaks loose and he is RIGHT on the first down line, i throw it to him and he gets ****ing rocked but just barely gets the first down. eventually i score a TD to tie the game. OT3! i drive down inside the 5 AGAIN, but again on 3rd and 1 i am stuffed (i need to stop calling freaking FB Dive out of goalline to the left!) so i kick a fg. ramirez gets the ball and can't get anything going. then on 3rd and 11 he throws a comeback pass into double coverage and i pick it off to FINALLY end the game!
it was a game full of clutch 3rd down conversions and close plays. who knows how many OT's we would've gone to if ramirez hadn't thrown that int.

Damn EA Servers. FMT and I were in a closely contested 19-19 stalemate in the third when our connection got dropped. Lost a 80 option TD, and a kickoff return. Aghhh..

I just recall seeing people complain about not getting the games with him going. The guy still has not played week 2, and he does not put his stats in. Based on all that, I am not optimistic that we will get our game in. Hence....WHO WANTS TO FILL IN FOR FLORIDA?!?!?!?

heh, well gstaff showed up around halftime our game. DCX was going to go play the game for real (hopefully) against him. Consider our game as "practice" !

:lol :lolI dont know how Im going to get my game in. I tried to set it up for Thursday or Friday night, but the guy Im supposed to play could only play during the day because he went out at night. There was a 1 hour window on Saturday where he could play but I couldnt.
I dont know what to do. I know he has been able to play, but I dont think having your availability during the middle of the day is very reasonable since most of us have jobs. Hopefully it gets done tonight, I can play from about 5:00 CST on.

It's not that I have only availability during the day. I mean, I don't get out of work until 5pm EST anyway. I think the fact that we're in different time zones hurts us. I mean, usually when you're out of work and back it's around 7pm CST which is 8pm here, and on the weekends I'm already out to dinner at that point. I'm not sure why I was put in a division with all CST teams, but I guess we just have to work with it. The bigger problem with this weekend is that I'm moving and need to be out of my current residence by the 31st. I've been trying to find some time in between packing and stuff but it's just been a pain. Anyway, I can be on this evening to get this game done.
