Eagles will have an epic meltdown this year. All they have is DB's with a horrible LB corp and an even worse D-line. If you don't have pressure up front doesn't matter who you're DB's are they'll get burned if a QB has all day to throw.

Redskins: Andrew Luck hunt
Giants: Mediocre 7-9 or so.
Cowboys: Sleeper team this year. I think they'll be better than most expect. Romo finally steps it up.
Eagles: 8-8 or so. Defense with DB's and nothing else. Even with Vick at helm his been inconsistent his whole career. Had an unbelievable year last year but I don't think he can pull it off two years in a row. At least you guys got VY :jnc

Did you even watch that highlight tape? Dude ran a 4.3 at combine and is up there with CJ as the fastest, most elusive RB in the league. Just needs to stay healthy.

Charles Woodson did alright with it and he got his in the preseason.

Different levels of severity when it comes to turf toe.

Hopefully the remaining folks can report for camp tomorrow.

Also, Tamba Hali got paid

John Clayton
@ClaytonESPN
Big news of the night is the contract of Chiefs OLB Tamba Hali. He agreed to a five-year, $60 million deal that had $35 mill in guarantees

...and Derrick Mason will likely be a Jet.

John Clayton
@ClaytonESPN
it sure sounds as though Derrick Mason is going to the Jets for more than a visit. He'll know in the morning whether he's a Jet.

Might as well do my predictions. Criticize if you must.

NFC:
NFC North- Packers (13-3)
NFC South- Saints (11-5)
NFC East- Cowboys (10-6)
NFC West- Rams (9-7)
Wild Card- Eagles (10-6), Bucs (9-7)
Just realized I have the Falcons missing the playoffs.. hmm

AFC:
AFC North- Steelers (11-5)
AFC South- Colts (10-6)
AFC East- Patriots (13-3)
AFC West- Chargers (12-4)
Wild Card- Ravens (10-6), Jets (10-6)
I think the Texans are close to the South crown, so that may be a toss up.

Best was lighting up opposing defenses before his turf toe injury. Which cripples you for the remainder of the season. But that explosive and speed he showed is Chris Johnson esque. If healthy he'll be a Top 5 RB this season.

Mike Leshoure is going to be that wear you down with brute strength plus has the speed to break away. Reminds me of Steven Jackson in terms of body size and speed.

I'm not saying they're the best tandem yet, but there aren't very many others AFAIK that are equivelant.

yes! i love these games

frank gore >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> jahvid best
kendall hunter >= mike leshoure

all without the benefit of having a top 5 WR on their team!

remember fellas: being a running back is more than just catching balls and running. its about pass protection, blitz pickups, etc. jahvid best has a LOOOOOONG way to go to even be considered a top 15 back in this league. sorry to burst your bubble :(

Nop way in hell the Bucs make the wildcard. They have 4 games against ATL and NO.

They also play Detroit Week 1, Colts Week 4, Texans and Pack back to back. Than Dallas amd @ Carolina week 16 which will be an ambush.

Bucs are the most overrated team in the NFL. We were on our 3rd string QB and still beat you guys. Bucs had the benefit of having an easy schedule last year hence the inflated record.

I got a $100 wager to anyone on GAF Week 1 Bucs vs. Lions.

The games he played last year were enough to warrant consideration as a Top 15 back. That explosiveness and ability to avoid tackles. Again watch the highlight tapes. If he hadn't had that serious neck injury he would've been a Top 10 pick.

Name 15 Rb's who are better than Jahvid at this point.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Colts had a huge amount of injuries last year and their young receiving core was learning the Manning system. With Peyton's neck fixed up, Dallas Clark, Austin Collie, Robert Freeney and Robert Mathis no longer injured they are going to be running a great team that has been through some good ordeals last year. Those young receivers will be able to be slot into the correct situations now that they have gotten used to the Manning system.

I predict 13-3 Colts.

Im not expecting great things from the 'Boys this year. I see 9-7 or 10-6. And not really a serious challenge should they get into the playoffs. Just not enough defense :/

Jahvid Best is top 15 now? Really?

Edit: Oh, my bad. You said TOP 5.

They don't play the Chargers this year. 15-1. Book it!

They'll go into the last game 15-0 but Caldwell will sit all the starters.

We'll sweep the Failcons and probably split with the Aints again.
The Kittens will be lucky to win 4 games, and none of them will be division games.

Sure it does. Before the injury he was the most explosive back in the NFL. Then turf toe set in.

adrian peterson
jamal charles
ray rice
steven jackson
michael turner
chris johnson

Only ones that I would rank above Jahvid. And Steven Jackson is on the decline. You guys can sleep on Jahvid all you want but I've seen enough to know he will be an elite RB for years to come.

310 Total Yards + 4 TD's in first 3 games. You'll all be witnesses come 9/7.

Is this an actual list of the top 15 backs? Or is it just 15 back better?

Cause Sjax is top 5 easy to me. People always underestimate him, but the dude has had 6 straight seasons with 1,000 or more yards. He will have more than that this year again. Most lists have him near the bottom of the top 10 which is incorrect. Also Sjax has 2-3 years left.

Maybe Josh will complete more than 50% of his passes against us this year!

Or, you know, beat the Falcons.

lulz

p.s. no those aren't a top 15 backs list. i was just going through my head on who i thought was better. i could even argue that jahvid isn't a top 20 back. both RB's from carolina i would take over him, jury is still out on felix jones, peyton hillis is there, and so on.

No back with a 3.2 YPC average and hasn't proven to be durable enough to play one season can be considered top anything.

.

Speaking of sleeping on, how can you not include Foster in that list? He was only one of the best backs in the league last year.

Ah okay. I'll take it. My Sjax statement remains though.

We'll see, we were a couple yards and a bad special teams play away from sweeping you last year.

And we got your punter.
