Ok, I went to the Bills-Atlanta game today...a few thoughts:
1. The refs love Vick. He got every call in the book today. Twice on the first drive he got kinda shoved and they called it roughing. Once he threw it into the back of the offensive line but there was no grounding call. At the end of the game, he tore off his helmet and stormed the ref because apparently they decided to review the fumble from the play before? Wtf?? For any other player that would be a personal foul and ejection, but for Vick they are like "Yes, how can I help you oh NFL savior?" Also, Atlanta was holding all over the place, tackling Bills blitzers, it was incredible. I don't watch many Falcons games; does this happen all the time?
2. Despite all that, Vick is great. He won me over today- he was scrambling all over the place, but still finding the open recievers. They people who say that he is not a legitimate NFL quarterback are fooling themselves. He looked very good.
3. Bills fans take heart, they looked a lot better than they did last week, especially on offense. They scored on the first three drives, and if the defense could have made a freakin stop they might have pulled it out. Hell, they needed a touchdown and a two pointer to tie it up and were on the Atlanta 30 with three minutes left, so they still had a chance right up to the end. Actually, it looks like they got it on 4th down there from where I was standing, and got screwed yet again on a call; however, I couldn't tell for sure. Basically, field goals and a touchdown or two will win games for the Bills, if their defense is as incredible as it is supposed to be. However, in the last two games they've just sucked- 400 yards allowed on the ground? C'mon Bills D, have some pride.
