Hello darkness, my old friend,

I've come to talk with you again,

Because a vision softly creeping,

Left its seeds while I was sleeping,

And the vision that was planted in my brain

Still remains

Within the sound of silence.

I strongly object to this thread and the pictures of Big Ben.

What will the children think when they see their religious figures coming under attack like this?

If?

The state of Ohio is confirmed to finally get an NFL win this weekend. Missouri will still be winless.

Game of the week.. Vikings @ Tennessee? Should be a great defensive slugfest.

If that happens you might as well get ready for the draft. After seeing him in person I don't see how he's even on a NFL roster

Though I have no evidence to support this, but I assume backup qbs are not chosen for ability but whether or not they have a hot wife or girlfriend. Playing sports all my life I have seen people being chosen for teams due to them having a hot girlfriend/wife/mother so I would not be surprised if this happens on the pro level.

Are you serious? Well Thigpen's girl must be a the hottest chick associated with an NFL player.

Dude think about it. You got a player who will most likely never play ever so how do you choose someone who can add something to the team? Why do you think Gruden won't get rid of JGar?

Apparently Willie Parker is out for Monday against the Ravens. Mendenhall will get the start.

That's one hell of a test for the rookie.

I think its time to start Jonathan Stewart... Deangelo is getting better but the better RB is clearly Stewart right now.

WTF?

What is wrong with Parker? I didn't even know he was injured.

Damn, it would suck balls to lose against the Ravens. Steelers should just punt on first down and wait for Flacco to give us the game. The way I see it, neither offense is going to win the game but they can and probably will lose it.

I thought we settled that in Week 3 after ESPN NFL Countdown finally gave the 'girls their props. Oh well.

Yep, now its the Rams turn.

Also as for Bulger being bench, I don't know what to think of that especially with Green being back him up. Rams oline sucks monster balls Trent is going to died.

Sprained knee.

Though, realistically, whoever is running the ball for the Steelers will be hard pressed to get a lot going. I'm more concerned whether or not Ben can throw a forward pass at this point. If he can, then he'll still get some big plays to Santonio and all will be right in Pittsburgh.

Yeah it sounds to me like this was just a preemptive benching so that Parker's knee doesn't get worse. This is not a game for fragility. Although this might be the game that finally knocks Ben out, judging by the last time they played!:lol

Trent Green is going to die behind the Rams oline, poor dude. R.i.p. Trent. :(

SUN, SEP 28
Minnesota at Tennessee - I don't see the Vikings beating the Titans, just a feeling
Denver at Kansas City - The Cheifs... :X
San Francisco at New Orleans - Doesn't everyone know? JTO = Just Took Over we also have the first ranked pass D in the NFC.
Arizona at NY Jets - Refuse to pick
Green Bay at Tampa Bay - Griese got lucky last week, he wont be throwing 67 times this week
Atlanta at Carolina - Reality check for the Falcons
Houston at Jacksonville - Ehhhhhh, I think this game can go either way
Cleveland at Cincinnati - Somebody has to win right?
San Diego at Oakland - This just in, Kiffin to be fired next Monday!
Buffalo at St. Louis - Trent Green vs Marcus Stroud, flawless victory.
Washington at Dallas - Fuck Tony Romo
Philadelphia at Chicago - Neckbeard is not the truth

MON, SEP 29
Baltimore at Pittsburgh - Ravens kill Big Ben and Sandwhich, Dennis Dixon runs for 300 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Kiesel, Parker and Hampton are all listed as "out" for the game.

Ugh. Might as well start Dixon and just let him scramble.

Not if we punt on first down!

I don't see an alternative. Any attempt of offense by either team will end in disaster, injury and bitter tears.

Though now that I think about it you need to block to give the punter time to kick the ball and I am not sure if the team as presently constructed is up to it.

And anyways, even if Ben plays it will take A LOT to knock him out of a game. Even that Bart Scott hit didn't knock him out of the game. Ben can take a shit load of punishment (and has done so in the last 2 years). For the amount of sacks he takes he has been pretty good about not missing games.

Is there any way Mendenhall can hold onto the ball against the Ravens defense?

The last time they played, Ben sat out almost all, if not all, of the game. Week 17 last year.

Before that, Ben torched the Ravens for 5 TDs in the first half during their Week 9 game.

You're thinking 2006. Which doesn't count. It doesn't. Shut up.

bionic77 said:

Yes, damn it. The power of positive thinking! Mendenahall will hold onto the ball and Ben will find Santonio for big gains (and hopefully TDs).

This is a happy place. Think happy thoughts.

They "torched" the Ravens for 5 quick TD's because they kept getting the ball at the 30 yard line, not to mention Baltimore had injured DB's.

It'll be a fun game to watch.

Well, some things don't change.

Also, with the way the Steelers' D is playing, it's not out of the question by any means that they won't enjoy the same great field position they did last year. Though, Hampton being out doesn't help.

We can just use the Cowboys title next week. It's not like they'll suddenly stop being insecure or anything. ;)

11/16 Last Week, 28/47 Overall.

SUN, SEP 28
Minnesota at Tennessee - Vikings may have a good defense but so do the Titans, and Young is still out.
Denver at Kansas City - Broncos won't win, the Chiefs will lose.
San Francisco at New Orleans - Reggie Bush makes himself useful for once and helps us catch up!
Arizona at NY Jets - Just a hunch. Jets might win in spite of Favre and in spite of the Cardinals. Oh, and Cardinals need to start losing games. That too.
Green Bay at Tampa Bay - The Tampa Bay Bucs aren't as good as the Pity Party Cowboys
Atlanta at Carolina - Falcons have a good thing going, but Panthers are going to use this to come back, I think.
Houston at Jacksonville - Yes, I'm picking the Jaguars to WIN. Which now means they will LOSE. Jerks. :(
Cleveland at Cincinnati - Oh wow.... uh...... *flips coin*
San Diego at Oakland - A team invigorated after punching Favre in the teeth against a team with a senile loser for an owner.
Buffalo at St. Louis - No contest. Seriously this time, you Rams better not fuck up and actually start scoring like the Bengals did.
Washington at Dallas - DON'T BE FOOLED. I PICK YOUR TEAM TO WIN BECAUSE YOUR TEAM SUCKS AND I SEEK TO DISRESPECT THEM AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY.
Philadelphia at Chicago - Pretty hard to bet against an NFC East team this year.

MON, SEP 29
Baltimore at Pittsburgh - Toothless Ben still better than Ravens.

Rams trying to fix a sinking ship.... easiest and most public move is to change QBs.

...but really... I think the world knows it's not all Bulger here...

Sucks, too. I know plenty of teams that would love his services this year.

Posted this in the old thread, but just hoping nobody saw it and someone will have a answer

anybody know a way to edit espn fantasy football league lineups for future weeks? Going to be on vacation for a little bit and it doesn't seem like there's a way to do it. I did figure out how to set my survivor league picks in advance for yahoo, but that was easy.

it's going to be a shootout in new orleans. we can't pressure the QB, and new orleans has a bad defense. JTO also leads the league in passes over 25 yards, so i suspect we'll air it out and throw in some frank the tank for good measure.

niners win... and i dont care how it happens!

go niners!
