i can't wait till the seahawks come to san fran. if you think JTO shredded your D in week 2, wait until you face him when he has a home crowd and a few more games of experience under his belt. part of the reason he was sacked 8 times in seattle is because heitmann HAD to tip the snap of the ball due to the fact that it was so loud. it's the only way we could get the ball snapped properly. poor seachickens :(
Just wait till we start raising the dead for more receivers. Let's see how your corners handle zombies!

Damn right. I'm going to make one prediction....

NFC EAST is a weak division full of posers and frauds. NFC North is where the power is. BIG KO will bounce back and have an amazing game....so will the Bears defense.

Chicago 57
Philly 2

We'll give the eagles a pity safety at the end of the game.

pffft, you took your wins from us the past few years with the likes of brandon lloyd, bryan gilmore, curtis conway, johnnie morton, and cedric wilson at WR for us, so i don't want to hear ANY complaining out of seachicken camp that you guys are having to play with garbage WR's.

besides, that had no effect in the game. nolan is a fucking moron and played a nickle defense EVERY PLAY against you guys in week 2 even though you had no wr's. the one guy who hurt us was a TE. the best coverage LB we have was benched for the game in favor of this "nickle" defense strategy. so don't expect to rush for 150 yards next time we play. things will even out, even with your starting WR's there.

you guys had your chance to do great things in this league, but your time is up. holmgren has one foot out the door, baldy has a bad back, your o-line is crumbling.... you have a good D, but who cares?

11-5 last week brings it to 31-16 for the year

SUN, SEP 28
Minnesota at Tennessee Kerry Collins just knows how to win games!
Denver at Kansas City Denver the good vs KC the horrible
San Francisco at New Orleans Brees will have another good game
Arizona at NY Jets play good arizona!
Green Bay at Tampa Bay the bay bowl won in last minute fashion
Atlanta at Carolina Carolina is not a bad team
Houston at Jacksonville this is where jacksonville evens it up
Cleveland at Cincinnati Carson Palmer will go crazy
San Diego at Oakland San Diego won't win it easily
Buffalo at St. Louis Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo Buffalo
Washington at Dallas The deadskins will be eaten alive
Philadelphia at Chicago Chicago with the Sunday night stunner

MON, SEP 29
Baltimore at Pittsburgh yup

man, minnesota vs tennessee is really tough to pick. they're both pretty similar teams.

and damn. nice to see the bills start out 4-0.

I'm really pumped for this weeks game. Our pass D is locking shit down right now. 1st in the NFC. :D

If we can get our edge rushers to play like they did against Arizona, we will take the Saints game. I we start getting some air time after that. Although the media will probably just say, "Oh the Saints are struggling."

I like being the underdogs though.

benching bulger is a good thing. not sure if starting trent will work out, but it can't be any worse than bulger has played.

i have a feeling we'll give buffalo a game, the o-line played much better last week, and maybe trent can hit some downfield passes to avery.

everyone picking new orleans! i can't blame people i guess... who knows how we'll perform against a good team (although i still contend that the cardinals and seahawks are good teams overall). respect must be TAKEN! and JTO is just the man to do it!

p.s. dont talk about ronnie brown. i had him sitting on the bench in favor of ryan grant. i seriously dont even want to look at what his point total was, i ignored it all day sunday and monday.

I picked SF for what its worth, really only because of the insane amount of injuries to the saints not cause I think the 49ers are any good.

:lol

As long as the front office is together to keep feeding talent in (Ruskell has been ace) and Hass still has the arm (his back is nothing), there is still plenty of opportunity to make a run. The o-line is far, far from crumbling (Locklear is back, and Womack did a great job and Jones is still one of the best in the league) And you seem to forget Mora has been to the NFC Championship, and now he's gotten a few years learning from Holmgren, he will be the best head coach possible to get.

And as far as the D, you may not care, but JTO will, now that we've shaken the rust off and got some film on his tendencies. The zone will not be diced as bad again.

We aren't going anywhere. I look forward to the rematch.

Sorry, but I don't share your optimism. Not that I don't want it to be true though.

Well, a lot will depend on who he brings in as offensive assistants (assuming they all leave with Holmgren), but really I can't think of anyone better qualified to take over the position.

is that what steelers fans are clinging to this year? that they are so battered and injured and that's why they look like garbage? how ironic that the only reason you won your superbowl in 05 was because of an injury to carson palmer, or that every year teams have to suffer through injuries and still dont make excuses. thats what i expect from the steelers though, a bunch of excuses as to why they are failures.

oh, you guys will probably win your weak ass division, but much like the seachickens in years past you will be eliminated early on in the playoff race because your record is inflated by playing in a gimme division. :(

Carson Palmer has just TWO regular season victories against the Steelers in his career, only ONE of which came in their "mighty" '05 campaign, the other game that season he lost on his home turf. Same site as their lone playoff appearance and defeat in the last 100 seasons. So many people want to put him with the elite, but the truth is he ain't.

Technically the Broncos are 3-0 and but in reality they should really be 2-1 and their defense is beyond suspect at this point.

Then again, the Steelers o-line is also pretty suspect as well.

I do agree that the Bills should be ahead of the Steelers just on record, but even they have problems. I mean it took a crazy 4th quarter comeback for them to beat the Raiders. At least the Steelers lost to the Eagles.

Basically it looks like no one in the AFC is elite this year.

Watch this amazing display as 7 potential blockers in the scheme let 3 out of just 4 rushers through like water through an open window:

not anymore, but i got the vibe they would have beat you that game with a healthy palmer. of course no one can know what really would have happened, it's just a hunch!

lol #21 is horrible. wtf is he doing?

That's Mewelde Moore. He does nothing of course. I don't know the assignment, it is possible that given just the 4 rushers, he is supposed to come out late as a safety valve in that situation or something. Or, he could be lost like the rest of them. Outside of Colon (#74) who looks like he's chasing his runaway puppy, my favorite on that play is Heath Miller (#83), to Ben's left. He slides in front of Ben, preventing him from stepping up and looks all spry and snappy while getting a hand on absolutely nobody. I love Miller, but he's a pure receiving TE and using him in this fashion is a waste of time and talent.

Pivot, pivot, pivot. He didn't want to get called for traveling. Duh!
Actually, he was just playing good zone defense in the high post. The rest of the team obviously screwed up their rotation assignments.

:(

hey guys. i'm still alive. seasons over. :( :( :(

god i hate william clay ford. not matt millen, because he's drunk with stupidity and you can't blame him. you just have to remove the problem and the only person who can keeps looking the other way. cuz wcf is a douchebag who hates freedom.

there's not even a point to firing anyone either. firing millen right now won't fix anything for the year. same with marinelli. same with benching kitna. hopefully we just trade roy williams and get a sweet draft pick for him or something.

WTF!

Every single lineman comes through with little to no effort! I can understand one guy beating a double team, but 4 guys getting through?

The sad thing was that safety was so predictable. Just like that Kolb INT, you just knew it was coming.

i know i saw it coming. i called my mom like "YO MA LOL WATCH DIS BEN ROFLSBURGER GONNA GET SAF-T'D" and she was all like "OMG NO" and i was like "LOL YA" and then WHAMMY hahahahahahaaaaaa WHAMMMYYYYY

That's a good theory, but the reality is you are still talking about the Bengals. I doubt the Bengals would have won, even with a healthy Palmer. The Bengals held up pretty well for the first half, but then Chad had his meltdown, and the Bengals remembered that they were the Bengals. All Carson's injury did was give Cincinnati fans an excuse to bitch.

On a side note, I was at that game. It was the weirdest sound to hear when the entire stadium went suddenly silent when Carson went down.

Did whoever ordered that knock off jersey from that shady looking site that was posted just before the season started ever get the jersey? If so, how was the quality?

That sounds a bit obscure, but I hope you guys know what what I'm referring to.

saerk i had them in my cart but decided not to check out when they wouldn't accept credit card.

big zep told me he ordered from there. find zep and you'll find your answer!

fantastic-goods.com?

i asked zep about it, and he said they were out of stock on what he wanted. same thing happened with me.

it seems kind of shady, but on another board, someone mentioned they got their jersey and everything seemed normal about it. the total comes out to around $40.

Shh, it's a reverse jinx
...which is now doomed to fail since I've admitted to it.

In any case, I have a hunch the Pack are going to not play well next week, since typically the "well, we sucked but at least we showed heart!" games (like Sunday night's) are immediately followed by a game where the team just completely, 100% sucks. Only afterwards can the healing begin. Hopefully I'm wrong.

i think the jerseys were $16 woodchuck. maybe this is a different one

shipping is like $20 apparently at fantastic-goods

there's another site called jersey101 or something. try google. it's the same as fantastic-goods in terms of price, has a larger selection, but the ordering and shipping process is supposed to be really slow

Fantasic goods looks like the place.

I got another question for those that frequent games. What are the best seats to get tickets less then 200, preferably below 150. I'm looking to get tickets for the Chargers Pats game on the 12th, but I'm unsure what areas would give a good view of the game. I've seen some tickets for the lower field in the front or near the front, but after looking at the stadium those seats look like it might be hard to see since you'd have the benched players, staff, and media in the way. This is a concern since my friend is short at 5' 6", I'm 6'1". Is the view best from the plaza seats? How good is the game from the view seats at the top?

it's like in Tecmo Bowl when the defense picks the right play.
