Leaf fans seem to meet both criteria's it seems...

oh well, having a get together at my place will do the trick just fine.

you have to understand most leaf fans will never be able to watch a leafs game live. Its all about suits and business deals now.

Its like that with every sport. No one but suits who arrive in the second period/quarter/inning sit in the good seats. Real fans sit in nosebleeds.

Manics and I invited?

I'd have a hard time explaining to my girl that two guys from the internet that I've never met in real life are coming over to watch the game.

You guys needed to arrange a Hab-Leaf game bar meetup this year, we would have been down.

Well on TV atleast the ACC seems like it can get pretty loud and lively, so it's not entirely an extension of Bay Street

I've been to a Leafs playoff game at the ACC and it was fairly rambunctious. Its the regular season mid year games that are crap to watch because the tickets get passed off to company sales people or out of town clients.

Once the playoffs roll around the guy who is actually a hockey fan who green-lit the $30K in ticket purchases makes sure he and his buddy are at the arena to complain vehemently about 40 years of complete failure. Nothing like standing in a row with an old VP, two drunk construction bosses, and accountant all screaming nasty obscenities at a sieve Cujo while the accountant's 8 year old kid looks on.

Although it was no Buffalo Auditorium. That place was awesome. You felt like you would fallover onto the ice from the upper deck. Good fun.

I was at the Habs and Sabres game on Sathurday with my girlfriend, it was a great game to attend and she really liked it.

3 more games to go, god this suspense is killing me...

So what are the chances of the Flames taking over Minny for 7th? It sure would be nice to have a playoff series with a team that isn't 3 ****ing timezones away for a change.

We, like the Predators, do not care for Division titles.
Huh? The Preds would looooooove to take the Central from the Wings. Wouldn't that be the first banner ever to grace their arena?

Remaining games for the battle for 5th/6th... or which will face the Canucks(3rd) or Preds(4th).

San Jose: Anaheim, Calgary, Vancouver

Dallas: Columbus, Anaheim, Chicago

:(

Not a big deal. I think the Canucks could beat both, but I prefer our odds vs Dallas for obvious reasons.

We shall have to do this for sure next season. Who else is in?

P.S. I have a funny feeling that one of Philadelphia or Boston is going to win tomorrow night...

I would if I remained in T.O, but it's looking increasingly likely that I will be out of province in a few months.

i've attended several leaf games so far, and have sat in -many- places around the rink, including all the way down in golds 13 rows off the ice... my favorite seats were in the greens(bottom of the upperdeck)... followed by the purples. (nosebleeds). I hated sitting in the gold/red seats. Though the inseat service was quite nice :)

Best I've sat for a Leafs game at the ACC is the purples :s

Best seat I ever had at an NHL game was 2nd row in Buffalo, a week after Hasek robbed Canada of a gold medal :(

Really? I rather enjoyed my time in the Gold seats. :D

My desire for the rest of this season is to see the East as insanely tight as possible down to the last game. For this to happen, the following teams need to win in regulation tomorrow night:

Toronto
Montreal
NYI
Carolina

This would result in the standings looking like this:

6. NY RANGERS - 91 (2 GR)
7. TAMPA BAY - 90 (2 GR)
8. MONTREAL - 90 (2 GR)
9. TORONTO - 89 (2 GR)
10. CAROLINA - 88 (2 GR)
11. NY ISLANDERS - 86 (3 GR)

I think it'd be kind of funny if the NYI v. NJ game on Sunday was the big determining factor.

It just won't go away:

But according to Miller, Tie's tirade went something like this: "You don't know what the f--- you are doing. You're not coaching to win. You're an f---ing disgrace. You're a f---ing joke!"

HAHA. So awesome. Especially claiming that he doesn't know much about what he can pass on...and his face at the end definitely deserves an animated gif.

:lol Seems like a pretty cool guy. I bet he just totally blanked out on whatever line of bullshit he was feeding, realized he had no clue what he was saying and just ran off.

WOOOOOOO just scored two tickets to the Pens-Sabres game tonight in Pittsburgh. My bro came through bigtime on those.

Can't wait, the only other game I went to this year was a 1-0 loss to the spawn of satan Devils.

I might be down for that. I've driven to Toronto plenty of times in the past. We'll have to see if I'm still around these parts and not too busy.

Mr. 15 year deal is likely out for the season (albeit, 3 games left or whatever)

Wang must be praying that DiPietro doesn't suffer from post concussion syndrome long term, or that 15 year deal is gonna be lolz

Yeah, I don't remember anyone anywhere saying: "This is a sound business decision."

The reaction really was more like: lolz
