tuesday night against the blackhawks. at least our first two playoff games sold out this year.GSG Flash said:Ouch, only 14k in Nashville tonight
What will it take to get people in seats there? (outside of giving away the tickets)

i can't argue that. we're 21st in the league % wise, 3% behind carolina following a cup year. we really need a deep run to spark some corporate interest and get some butts in our lower bowl seats.GSG Flash said:Good point, but still, a playoff bound team that's tops in it's conference should be pulling in atleast 2000 more, even against a shitty team.
BigJonsson said:11k in Jersey tonight :s
GSG Flash said:That's pretty pathetic as well, if they can't pull in more after they move to their new arena, I don't know what else could be done.

why do you pick at me so. the strives made here over the past 10 years or so are incredible. high school hockey is getting bigger and bigger in the area. it's insane how much youth hockey has increased over the years. more cities are wanting to build rinks for kids to play. it's coming around, it's just taking longer than expected.rs7k said:Nashville just isn't a hockey market
It's probably the biggest longshot in the whole scheme. Still, they've got to beat Vancouver first and Calgary has to lose to San Jose before we even get there.Socreges said:There is one major flaw in this, however. The Oilers have to win a game. They've lost, IIRC, 17 of their last 18 games.
I wish I had thought to check out stats like that for the Leafs so I could point it out to you and laugh in a girly way... oh wait I don't give a ****ForzaItalia said:Wow...just checking some stats and noticed how much the Habs suck on the road compared to at home:

Those little Hobbitants really grow some balls at home and sprout a vagina on the road, which is best exemplified by their "leader" and "captain"....
Koivu's stats:

GP-40
Goals-13
Assist-28
Points-41
-6

GP-39
Goals-9
Assist-21
Points-30

Foreign Jackass said:His Koivu stats aren't even that bad away from home, if you don't count the +- which he's shitty in at home too. We're 8-2-0 in our last ten games, and that's what counts.

Not our fault if our team keeps winning, each night because of a different player having a good-to-great night. I'd say it says a lot about our depth. I'd rather have a reliable superstar, but we don't have that (yet).ForzaItalia said:Well, let's hope you guys do stop the Koivu "ballwashing" now....then again you guys will find another player to jerk it to....

That's what happens when your city is the hockey town and you have the best crowd in the whole league.ForzaItalia said:Wow...just checking some stats and noticed how much the Habs suck on the road compared to at home:

You have at least one real superstar in your team. Mats Sundin and Kaberle are better than anyone we have. The problem is the rest of the team is the worst club of underachieving young "prospects" I've ever seen.Kabuki Waq said:yea same with the leafs Getting scoring from a bunch of different players. SO MUCH DEPTH we are fighting for the 8th spot:lol
and ppl call leafs fans delusional.

Another good example:
Halak @ home:
7 wins in 7 starts, 1.84 GAA, .935 sv%

I said we had depth, I never said we had SO MUCH depth or whatever. I am aware of where we are in the standings, thank you very much. I just think that with the way our young players are playing right now, the future is looking good. We just need to find a real superstar somewhere...
Malakhov said:Latendresse, Kostitsyn, Lapierre, Higgins, Komisarek, Ryder and Markov are all a huge part of our success and are the players that are stepping it up for us to make the playoffs.
We have an awesome prospect pool, leafs fans googles won't let you admit it, though.
Gainey refused to make any trade at the deadline because he didn't want to touch our youngsters, Lapierre and O'Byrne kept being mentionned by a lot of teams and he flat out refused.
Malakhov said:We have an awesome prospect pool, leafs fans googles won't let you admit it, though.
Yeah they are, since they got rid of the problem (Samsonov) and fixed the problem in the locker room, they have a record of 9 wins and 2 losses.Kabuki Waq said:yea no wonder tha habs have been so awesome since the trade deadline.

If you'd follow the Habs you'd notice he was injured.ForzaItalia said:Why is Perezogin off your list now.....did he not swallow enough?

I still absolutely love Perezhogin, his plus/minus stat speaks for itself but like I said, he's been injured for more than a month and is not in our playoff drive.ForzaItalia said:But I remember you spewing copious amounts of semen for him. What happened?
