You guys should make things more interesting - it should be BOTH the Habs and Leafs don't make the playoffs, all Habs and Leafs fans are banned until the Islanders are eliminated. :lol :lol

And so Brodeur breaks the single season win record in Parent's old building, very fitting. It's great that a class act like Marty crosses the barrier first but Luongo has a shot to break it right away. Since the Atlantic division and second seed have been clinched I expect the Devils will sit him against the Islanders on Sunday.

I'd say the Isles are more deserving for the 8th spot than the Leafs or Habs are. I'll be pulling for the Isles on Saturday...

HF is saying Carbo has given Huet the nod for Saturday. If it's true, I really can't believe it. Halak has given the Habs the chance to be in this do or die game, without him Aebischer would have killed off any hope weeks ago... Halak was not to blame for tonight's loss, a crap team effort was.

Huet can get the job done, but how do we know if he's game ready? 1 period and 8 saves is hardly enough for anybody to know for sure.

Leafs have been playing like shit for the past week. The Habs have been coming on strong. But with a question mark as to who is going to start in goal for Montreal on Saturday, things get a little more interesting. Man, I have no doubt blood will be spilled in Toronto and/or Montreal this Saturday.

McCabe shouldn't ever be on the ice unless the Leafs are on the powerplay. Perhaps a bit 5 on 5 but for God's sake NEVER penalty killing.

It's a gamble. The payoff could be huge. Huet having a shutout for example.

If the Maple Leafs beat the Canadiens in regulation or overtime and the Islanders beat both Philadelphia and New Jersey in their final two games, the Islanders are in and both the Canadiens and Maple Leafs are out.
