I don't care about either team, but the Ducks annoy me since they day asshole Eisner dropped the worst name in team sports onto the NHL so I guess I hope he goes to Pens. That'll be a shit-hot team with Malkin and Crosby, when they fold and move to Winnipeg I'd definitely think about a 10 game mini pack to see them.

Dear Pittsburgh..ians,
It has come to my attention that you have become the "lucky" city to be able to have the next hockey phenom, Sidney Crosby, playing hockey in your fine city. Congratulations on this fine hockey achievement; it bodes well for the future of a hockey team that has been struggling to come together since its golden age of Lemieux and Jagr. To be able to see a dream line of both Lemieux and Crosby will truly be a treat for fans of all ages.
However, I can't help but feel that you might not understand what this means for those of us here in Halifax. While you are able to reap in the glory of his hockey success, arguably the only thing about him not mind numbingly annoying, we here in Halifax have to hear about his every move as if our success as a city depends on his success as a hockey player. As the hometown of this hockey hero, we are thus the recipient of more media coverage than one could possibly imagine.
As Crosby rose in the hockey ranks here in Canada, his profile rose exponentially further with each passing year. When his Team Canada jersey went missing after the World Juniors, it was national news, and when it was finally found...it was national news. For every hat trick he scores, local media will make it out to be the greatest accomplishment in the history of sport. All of his success in your fine city will only make his presence in our own media even greater.
I ask you to be cognisant of this when he scores a goal or when he wins an award. While you get to bask in the glory of a successful hockey team, we get shit all and yet have to hear about it all the time.
He's a talented hockey player and a wonderful addition to the Pittsburgh Penguins and the NHL in general. However, I am getting sick and tired of hearing more about his success with a hockey team in Quebec (And soon in Pittsburch) than about actual local sports teams and important local issues.
So, it is with great sadness I must wish for injuries, illnesses, muggings and the occasional freak non-lethal car accidents. While I am sure this would lead to "Sidney Watch" where we're continually updated on his condition on the hour, it is really the best possible situation from my point of view.
I do not wish harm to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and instead wish them all of the success in the world. However, when Sidney Crosby becomes the phenom he was apparently born to be, I want you to remember that some of us are being forced to hear more about Sidney Crosby than anything else ever.

But then when I actually started becoming accustomed to hockey (following it everyday, knowing all the rules, all the players) that's when I started rooting for the Sens and I've been rooting for them for 7 or 8 years now, so it's not like I periodically switch teams or that i just recently switched from the Leafs to the Sens.
