I don't mind that Satan is in Montreal. Now we get to hammer his floating ass into the ice 8 times a year. WATCH OUT FOR SATAN WHEN THERE'S AN EMPTY NET THO!!

Yeah, but whose going to hammer him? Vanek? We have no defense.

:lol :lol All these players signing in our already tough division..It is painful. Leech, Satan today...probably more but I'm tired. Anyway, this is probably the nicest I'll be to a sabres fan this year so let's cherish the moment, aceface :)

My only consolation as a Sabres fan is that the Leafs aren't doing anything either.

That's always my consolation as a Leaf fan. I just pick another team to hate and I laugh when they don't win the Cup either. Ha ha Columbus -- no Cup for you!

The Cujo signing? Eh, I don't know how much he has in the tank, but if he is anything like Belfour or Hasek as far as age-less goalies... Then is is okay. I think the pens better dump Caron and let Marc-Andre Fleury play 40 game this year and let Cujo play 40 games. If they send Fleury to the minors, then they might as well flush him down the toilet as his confidence will be shattered. (They already screwed him from attaining bonus money in the millions his first year in the league. They better not do it again).

I still haven't seen an official report confirm Cujo going anywhere, and the radio seems to be as reliable as a chat room right now...but the Pens screwing over a young goaltender?

Why does that sound familiar?

Despite all the bullshit this is pretty damn exciting. Lots of wild west unpredictability.

Don't ring the bell so quick,

no mentions of Satan signed for the habs anywhere.

I doubt it'll happen.

Would be cool if the Cujo rumors are true, it would be nice to have a good goalie in Pitt, hasn't been one in a LONG time.

RON TUGNUTT BABY! LALIME BEFORE CHOKING! TOM BARRASSO GLORY YEARS!

Cujo would be great and I would hope that him and Fleury would get equal playing time. Fleury NEEDS to have a good year this season, or I think he's going to go the way of Jim Carey.

Yes and with the likes of Ric Jackman, he'll be well protected in goal.

I'll sell you my two Cujo jerseys! You can spray paint them yellow or just piss all over them to get them that perfect shade of Pens yellow :(

-Flames re-sign Jordan Leopold to a 2-year, $2.3-million deal...
-Columbus signs Berard to a 2-year, $4.5 million deal (playing with Foote?)

Funny how Sportsnet was rocking yesterday, while TSN is rocking today.

ahaha :lol

And Floppa in Vancouver?!? I'll believe it when I see his bearded mug trundling down Robson St and not a second before. I also reserve the right to take back everything bad I've ever said about him AND change his nick back to Foppa.

"LEMIEUX! I NEED LEMIE---I MEAN, UH, RESULTS! I NEED RESULTS!"

Haha... no, Thanks on the piss yellow Cujo jersey. I still have (hopefully) a ton of milage on my Black and Gold Fleury #29 jersey.

It was reported on 2 radio stations in Pittsburgh, and also one in Detroit on the Cujo signing/heavy rumors. Nothing official though.

We'll see. That bonehead Eklund has both Burke and Cujo coming to Pittsburgh. I still want a high name forward to be signed by the pens. God, why is it I feel like a Toronto, Philly or Ranger fan these days just cause the pens have a little money... haha

C'mon. Someone needs to confirm this Cujo rumour so I can smile like a Pens fan who's been waiting to see his team return to glory. Not that the 2005-2006 version of the team will do that, but with the way things are looking, I like our chances to at least make it to the second round of the playoffs.

Fleury won't turn out like Lalime in Pens land. Lalime was a low round draft pick, had a nice run and we had a primadonna in Barrasso to deal with then. The pens were down right stupid to trade him, but the same can be said of Naslund and Glen Murray as well. Fleury is the franchise guy in Pittsburgh, along with Crosby... We won't be screwing with him. They are probably just looking to land a mentor for him.

I like the sound of Cujo more and more. I hope it is true....

Anyone know the street dates of the latest hockey games to hit the market? I have Xbox360 NHL2k6 reserved, but I might have to get playing a little earlier then that with the buzz that is being generated now.

I think Cujo is a good fit in Pittsburgh because he always thrives when faced with a lot of shots. I've always loved Gonchar but there's no way he is worth $5 million per season, especially in this "new" NHL and even worse when you tie up that money for 5 seasons!

That's what Mark Madden seems to think, according to him RIGHT NOW on his show. Cujo's an older guy, so there's no longterm commitment if they bring him in, and that means Fleury can learn from him and develop a little more, with less pressure, then be ready to take over completely in a couple years. Sounds like a plan to me!

I think you'll say differently when you see what he racks up tons of points on the PP and makes home run passes to Crosby every night since the 2 line offside is gone.

I was skeptical as well, but I hope he pans out. 5 mill for a guy who led the league in scoring the past 6 years for d-men isn't too bad. Better then 7 mill for niedermyer. I'll admit though, I would have rather had pronger.

Damn, I am getting no work done today....

Forza you an italian soccer fan dude? I'm a Juventus man myself since I have relatives in Italy who are Juventus crazy and I have always supported them since I was a kid. At least they give me some winners unlike the Leafs :(

Paolo Rossi forever man!

Satan has signed with THE ISLES

poor habs :lol

Hamrlik signs in Vancouver
---so says vancouver radio

rumour with zero source...
It seems as though the Oilers have inked C Alexei Zhamnov to a 3 year, 11.25 million dollar deal. This will apprently come down the wire within the hour, expect Pierre LeBrun to report this on the Score at 4PM on TO THE POINT.

Now I am hearing that tough guy Andre Roy may be signed up to be Crosby's personal bodyguard. Him and Vandenbusshe on the 4th line will be pretty fun to watch this year. Edzo is the type of coach that wouldn't hesitate to throw them out there if needed.

No Cujo announcement yet..... I'm keeping the fingers crossed. We still need to sign a 2nd line forward.

What we need is another centre beyond Lemieux. Eastwood and Kraft aren't exactly studs, although I've been hoping and praying that Kraft will finally start coming into his own aaaaany day now. He's got the skills, but just hasn't done a lot with them up to this point.

Eastwood is gone I think. I don't think they reupped his contract. Both Kraft and Beech need to step it up as centers. I'm sure Kraft will make the third line with K. Koltsov and R. Fata. Beech, I don't think he makes the team, especially if the Andre Roy signing is official. Kraft showed good signs the last season, especially when Edzo up him in the dog house on the 4th line, and he still scored decently. We've got Lasse Pierejta as well, and he was pretty good at the end of the season.

Damn, if we sign Domi, we can throw a total goon squad out there for the 4th line.
Shoot, it looks like the hockey games don't come out for another month.

Actually, what I'm thinking right now is that they'll play both Foote and Berard with Klesla in camp, and pick whichever one he has the most chemistry with and mold him from there. The other will either play with Johnson or Beauchemin, assuming he makes the big club this year.

Of course, I think MacLean is still interested in Rafalski as well. I guess he wasn't shitting when he said he wanted to shore up the blue line.

Come on pens, get something done, Gonchar was just the start right :D Yea where IS Calder...work is no excuse, I'm there right now :D

This is hilarious....You guys were the absoulte worst team in the league...You end up with Crosby, sign Gonchar, and are impatient for more :( While we're sitting here clipping coupons in Free Agents monthly hoping for a good deal :(

The parity!........it burns....

Yeah, suck it up Fifty... Us Pens fans had to live with 8 years of silence in the free agent market, while your leafs and other teams like the Rags and Flyers, Stars bought up the whole league and fattened it up like a 40 year old prostitute.

It is about time the roles were reversed. All you guys were talking ish thinking you were going to get Crosby... It is turning out to be a very fun year.

I'm looking for a cheap hockey game from last year. Any opinions on NHL05? I had NHL2k5, but sold it with my xbox 3 weeks ago. I still have a PS2 though. I thought, that for cheap, maybe I could give it a shot because I wanted to try the new fighting system on it. I hear that the hitting is unbearable though. Can you adjust it with a slider?

I'll probably get NHL2k5 again!

Montreal now has the same team than in the 2004 series (switch Brisebois for Dandenault). Let's see if and how Gainey will improve the team.

Gainey just said in a press conference that he's done with the UFAs for now except maybe to resolve our 2nd goalie situation since Huet is hurt and might not play until February.

So yeah, we just gave up Brisebois, our best D last year, for a borderline defenseman. That's just great. Hopefully Kovalev will show up at least 1 games out of 2.

Malakhov said:
But he doesn't use it all the time. Satan is a sure fire 35 goals scorer next season.

With Iron Mike Milburay and the islanders?

:lol

For the D's: They have some good defensemens that could step up: Komisarek, Hainsey.

Markov can step it up a notch. If Sourray brings his a-game too...

I feel bad for the leaf fans. :lol

Good luck. I seriously mean it.

Its on the Isles site.. so its official.

I dont understand the move. Is this an upgrade over york? I mean.. I love Mike Peca... but why? Oh well. Edmonton is sure going to be hard to play against next season :D

Excellent move for Deadmonton if true. Peca isn't the force he was, but he's still effective and a great faceoff guy. Our division is stacked STACKED I SAY.
