If only anyone in Edmonton wanted him back, it would be a much funnier story. :lolEDMONTON - Scratch Radek Dvorak from the list of players who will be back in an Oilers uniform.
Agent Ritch Winter has told the Oilers the winger has no interest in returning next season. He will be among those NHL players available on Saturday when free agency begins.
"I won't say why. He just has no interest in returning," Winter said. "He would like to pursue other opportunities."

The problem is that I assumed lost him we would be signing a vet backup(Osgood,Gerber). Now, who's left? Hopefully we trade for a good backup(Weekes maybe? the NYR can always have Ninimaa.)

As a group, however, this Maple Leaf brigade should rank in the top-third of the league heading into 2006-07.
Much depends on the development of the kids, but the Leafs are potentially looking as solid and deep today on defence than they have at any time since their 1967 Stanley Cup swansong.

purnoman3000 said:yeah, I was kidding. I'll admit, even as an Ottawa fan, the Leafs have quite the nice backend, though overpaid for what it is. However, Raycroft is a big question mark as is the scoring especially without resigning Allison. Many may joke or say he's a bum but for the third in team scoring last year at 1.5 mil, he was a bargain compared to the other salaries on the roster.
Also, rumours have Pronger potentially going to Anaheim. Along with Niedermayer, all the young talent, and the resurging Selanne, that'd be amazing.
P.S. Dear Gainey, do something. Get Perreault back.... and will somebody sign Shanahan.

No idea how Anaheim would get him in a trade without Niedermayer but they do have the cap room.
I would take Lindros for 750k no questions asked. He was the best player on the ice at times last season. Plus, with all the injury plagued seasons Eric has had, you have to think that he is due for at least one season where he plays upwards of 70 games?R_GILL said:I have no problem with Lindros coming here for 750 K. Its not like we have much cap room left and we need some more forwards. He should be good for 40 games before sustaining a random injury. Leafs have a little over 5 million in cap room and we probably will leave 2 million for injuries and whatnot so we got 3 million left for some forwards.
My guess: It involves one or two of: Perry, Getzlaf, Smid, Ryan, PennerDischarger said:According to Hockeybuzz.com, Pronger is on the way to Anaheim and the details will be out in a few hours. http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=2271
Admittedly, that's no confirmation, but that's the closest to a confirmation I've seen so far. Supposedly it's a done deal - lets give it a few hours and see what happens.

Sad day, Stevie Y retires

why would a woman dictate to her man where she wants to end up.
Makes Edmonton look like a hicktown.

Perry/Lupul/Getzal/Perry + Vishnevsky/Beauchemin/Smid + 1st rounder
