i only really watch tv during basketball season, and while i'm glad that basketball is back, i could probably do without television commercials

A) He is from Seattle
B) He went to my high school
C) He played the same postion as me in high school (and I was told he reminded some teachers of my game before I broke my ankles)
D) Put him in a gold and black shirt and you could film Boyz in da Hood 2 and no one would know the difference

Bowen abuses everyone's game. Players just throw the ball at the hoop and run away to defend themselves from a Bowen attack(tm) Some team needs to answer that fool.. just let your 12th man hang him out on a 3 one time..

Just got the NBA package thingy here in Japan... and I think I will see maybe 15 Sonic games or so... and one of the is against the GRIZZ! Can't wait!
 
Say what you will about Kobe Bryant, but at least he's not a mercenary who wants all of the money, but none of the pressure, and doesn't perform in the playoffs.

In other words, at least he's not Alex Rodriguez.

Kobe, unlike A-Rod, flourishes when the pressure's on.
Both players are generally viewed as selfish, whiny divas. But as we approach the unusual sports phenomenon of having the best player in baseball head to a new team and arguably the best player in basketball also potentially on the move, understand that A-Rod and Kobe are two very different creatures.

A-Rod's decision to opt-out of New York is far more self-absorbed than Kobe's finagling to get out of Los Angeles.

Despite Kobe's flaws, we at least know he is consumed with winning championships. A-Rod is consumed with being A-Rod.

I completely disagree about the current NBA being tougher than the NBA back then though.
