In another topic, I predicted that "Home" wouldn't be exactly what the rumors said it was. I was dead wrong, all the rumors were spot on.
Yes, i'am feeling the same.variance said:I think HOME and Little Big Planet are what will finally persuade me to become a three next-gen console owner.

Home has lots of potential for sure with whats potentially available but to fully embrace it the free line is a bit misleading

The characters of LittleBigPlanet, whatever they are called, have an immediate lure, an immediate charm -- it's VERY Nintendo, back when Nintendo was good.

rager said:Geez, Why can't you trolls just let us enjoy this. I don't care if this is taking from different ideas. I like HOME, I think this is amazing and if it stays as it is shown I will be very happy.
Can't you at least hold off your negative, sarcastic, trolly comment until tomorrow?

That's it. I'm impressed. Finally. I was waiting for this moment. The Home potential is out of this world. Sims / Achievements / Mii / My Space and You Tube = pwned.
Little Big Planet is also extremely charming -- COOP PLATFORMERS -- my dream.
I'm pwned. I didn't think it would blow me away like that. I did shout in the office and and now the shit is spread around here lol. Basically everybody drooling.
WOW. Finally, Sony delivers. Now make that Home a freaking standard and make sure that ALL games comply. tks.

Don't get me wrong, it's pretty cool but it has been done (if not exactly in the same way) and you guys are going apeshit over it.
Oh God. Sony can't spell practice. It's wrong on the SingStar presentation.
Shard said:11:34 a.m.: A video starts illustrating the concepts of creating and sharing in LittleBigWorld. The mucis and design are infectious; the world is full of possibilities. It's like a next-gen, playful version of ExciteBike but with ragdolls and the internet.
They show comments, friends lists, and a "highest rated" chart. Think YouTube or MySpace, but with LittleBigPlanet levels.

it's called Second Life. it's been on the PC for years. it bored me then and i doubt now that it looks prettier that it won't bore me now.J-Rzez said:You're missing the point here... They took key elements from stuff that works really well from packages that had good and bad, and put all the "good" together in a package which they refined... This is something nobody has done... Why hasn't Ninty or MS done this, guess they figure what they gave is good enough... not anymore...
See, companies, especially MS loves to talk about community, and thats what this is and does... This just (for those who like the XBL community stuff for example) to a whole new level of interaction... And Sony didn't just do just enough, they went way past expectations with it...
Sony got tired of being told to pick up the slack, and they finally do, and people still hound them... it's really ****ing sad... I'm not going to let my life revolved around this or anything, but it really is a cool concept... Sony's been talking about this stuff forever, since the whole jack into the matrix stuff with the PS2... Well, it seems now they have the hardware and (More importantly) the software to do such a thing...
If MS or especially Ninty did anything "remotely" close to this, those said fans would be pronouncing the death of Sony, celebrating rubbing their oiled down cocks together...
Sony is setting a new bar for online community, and this is something that should be appreciated, cause now MS has to do something to counter this, which in turn will make a better experience for the consumer...
LOCK said:Why are you guys getting so excited over HOME? It in no way justifys paying $600 dollars for the console. Now Little Big Planet on the other had, does, cause its a game.
Therefore we need more games. Sony where the hell are the games that I want to play this year, where are the games that will make me want a PS3?

is it a good idea? yes. have they done it well? yes.
