Official poster for the Uncharted Movie

Uhm, it's just twitter cropping the photo, click on it.

Tom Holland is one of those actors who never had a real job in his life, who grew up acting. You can tell, guys like Harrison Ford worked as a carpenter and had a life, he didn't just fall into it, but these super young actors who grew up famous just doesn't have the character and style to pull off cool roles, they just look like they are faking it.

As others have said, looks dumb as hell.

This is why I liked 'Welcome to Raccoon Cit'y so much, yea it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen but at least it was different and the end result was something super unique, for better or worse.

The Uncharted movie is just going to be a big dumb action movie we've seen countless times. Instantly forgettable.

Isn't Drake supposed to be like 40 or something in the first game? Whose idea was it to cast a 25 year old actor?

31 years of age in the first game and met sully as a teenager. I don't know what age he is supposed to be in the film, but a mid 20's Drake with Sully is possible.

I'm expecting this to sit comfortable in the 40-50% on Rotten Tomatoes. But the Uncharted franchise has always seemed overrated to me. I'm not shitposting as I'm on PC, but people talk about those games being flawless masterpieces when they're simply well crafted third-person shooters and nothing more.

Maybe they plan on this being a movie series.
I mean you are probably right but if they cock the casting up it'll just end up bombing sadly and meaning sequels will never be greenlit. I've seen far too many of my favourite series get done in the absolute dirtiest way, Cirque Du Freak being the most tragic.

I didn't think Wahlberg was an appropriate casting choice for Sully. I was also afraid he'd want to insert himself as the center of attention, because that's kind of what he does in whatever film he is a part of.

Sony dumping this in the traditional graveyard of poor movies, February, doesn't inspire confidence either. And now this lazy excuse for a poster. Fingers crossed, but hope is low.

I'm not going to comment on the movie itself cause I've not yet seen it but the poster is just god awful.

Where's the light coming from in this poster lol? Really piss poor photoshop job. The least they could do was hire a proper professional image editor.

Potoshopped to death just to make them look somewhat like the game characters when they clearly dont.

Oh well. Whatever Sony, your movies in general suck anyway.

These guys have Venom and they still fucked up the entire tone and mood in their movies to make it a slapstick romcom with some cheesy ass action scenes, I expected nothing less with Uncharted.

Remember when the lead roles were actual men?

Also, they couldnt get JK simmons for Sully, fuck me.

They could of just replicated Uncharted 2's box art and added Marky Mark in. A little effort can go a long way.

If the movie has anything to do with Jumanji as in comedy and vibe, it will be a success. A big one. If it takes itself too seriously … it will fail.

Doesn't matter if the guy gives the best performance of his career. I just won't be able to take him seriously he looks like he belongs in the equivalent of "The Young Nathan Drake Chronicles".

That's exactly it. He IS cast as young Nathan Drake. Age wise the character is well below the age he was in the games. Sony wants Holland to play the role for 10 years or more probably.
