Keywords there.

You really think it's better to just drop back over and over when you're best WR is on the bench? You really think it's better to run the same play on the last two downs of the game, against one of the best corners in football?

Not only did he improve Denvers D, but our D improved when he left. I don't understand it at all. I guess hes only a terrible Head Coach and not so terrible as a D coordinator.
He will be a head coach again. His problem with the Niners was Alex Smith. You can tell that Nolan didn't want him.

I have to say, the turnaround that the Broncos' D is having this year is pretty fucking amazing.
They were PUTRID last year.
I guess the credit has to go to Mike Nolan.

It doesn't matter if Denver somehow 'adjusted' to Dallas's running game. It was two fucking yards and Barber could probably have tripped his way into the endzone.

Even Witten will tell you he had better looks when TO was around, just look at the numbers it's not even an argument.

At least TO doesn't take key plays off like Williams does leaving these unproven guys as the only WR targets..

Fuck that, he had way more problems than just Alex Smith. Our Defense was putrid under him, the same way it had been since god only knows when. Only now is our D finally beginning to look respectable. Our D constantly played that prevent shit and it ALWAYS cost us.

However, given that, and how the Denver D is playing, I would not find it hard to believe if Nolan got another HC job somewhere. I do not believe he has the testicular fortitude to be a good HC though.

No I don't think any of what you said or what they ran was better but it's my opinion that running it in a short yardage scenario, with time against you, prolly wouldn't have turned out well.

Denver's D was holding.

As I said, that's just my opinion.

Eh, it was fourth down, the time didn't matter at all.

Pretty much. Romo, Wade, and Garrett need to be somewhere else next season.

More like Wade and Garrett need to be gone after this game. I'm glad people are finally realizing just how pathetic the coaching is. This idiot Jerry Jones will keep the coaching staff in. Absolutely no heart. A pathetic loss to close the old stadium. A pathetic loss to open the new stadium... and now another failure in crunch time. Get some new leaders in there.

Time wasn't an issue on 4th down. They needed to do something different, that much is clear. Whether it was a run or letting Romo freelance, they needed to surprise the Broncos. Bad play calling and bad execution.

Even before TO Witten was a proven TE threat who thro most of his career has been money. Yea TO gave him better looks but he didn't make Witten what he is.

Im not taking away from Witten, Witten is the man im just saying the Offense was way better with TO. Witten is the best TE in the game imo.

Yeah, definitely, the personnel moves and switch to 3-4 were great decisions. Dumervil can do what he does best, Haggan has been a nice find and they're using his speed, obviously bringing in Dawkins, and getting rid of shit on the DL like Robertson. There was some nutjob running around last year telling everyone on GAF that Robertson was a top 5 DT....lol.

How the eff do you throw the ball 16 times at champ bailey? Did i hear that wrong?
Garret once again shows his lame ass play calling..its 4th down with that massive oline.punch it in

Through 4 weeks, who's your MVP? I gotta go with Peyton
gonna have to go with Crabtree on this one. Such a beast on the field he's going make 9er fans say Jerry Rice who?

It's all Romo. Every thing that ails the Cowboys is his fault.

Ugh, Imagine if Crabs would manup and sign already. Niners could be so much better with VD, Crabs and Gore all as threats. Hopefully these wins'll get to him and he'll realize all hes missing.

Coach staff didn't blow this game Romo did. The defense played well, the line gave Romo time and players were getting open. What more can the coaching staff do?

Nolan knows defense. He spent the last few years stacking the 49ers D with young talent and put a good defensive system in place. It didn't show because he was tied at the hip to Alex Smith and he just wasn't a very good head coach.

Now with Singletary there its a new voice giving the same message, using basically the same system and the same talent. He put a QB in who won't saddle the D with unreasonable expectations and makes sure to keep them fresh by running early and often.

If Nolan's D continues to play like this I wouldn't be surprised if he stays in Denver the rest of his career. He broke into the league as the LBs coach of the Orange Crush defense, he's very fond of the Denver area and McDaniels is willing to give him a ton of control over how the defense is ran. Its a perfect situation for a guy who sounded real burnt out on ever being a head coach again when he was on Sirius.

I wouldn't say easily, ADP definitely has a hand in that.

ADP didn't show up at all against the 49ers and he didn't have that big of a game against the Lions did he?

I say Peyton is easily MVP through the first 4 games, no contest. The Miami game alone should show just how valuable Peyton is to the Colts, there is no other player out there that means as much as Peyton does to the Colts.

God. How demoralizing. We got beat by the broncos. We played like complete shit, the play calling was pretty horrible (hey, how do you get your QB confident? deep throw every, fucking, down.). I'm proud the way our defense played but this was a fucking horrible game and I'm terribly disappointed in Romo and half the coaching staff.

Agreed. There are a lot of fantastic D coordinators out there who are miserable failures at the head coaching position. Some examples:

Dick Lebeau
Gregg Williams
Wade Phillips

who cares? We were expecting 4 wins this season. The broncos aren't suddenly a top contender, but I'm just glad the rest of the season will be worth watching.
2 chiefs wins
1 more over the raiders
that will be 7, the rest of the schedule is tough.

It's funny (even though I'm nowhere close to being a Colts fan) Peyton is the one guy (besides Brady who I also couldn't careless about) that if there is 2:00 minutes left in the game and he has the ball, I expect him to figure out a way to win.

I loathe Manning with all my core, but that ability to run the two-minute is why I hate playing against him.

Man fuck Dallas, now we have to face another fucking confident undefeated team :/
Brady and Belicheck get to come back to their own personal Waterloo against a 4-0 team that hasn't given up more than 10 points all season, and it just so happens to be coached by their former OC who helped Brady to his most productive seasons.

Gonna make for some great drama next week. :D
