Did you guys know that Favre is on the Vikings and playing against the green bay packers (his former team) on monday night football tonight?

Any way you can give me a recap? Curious now that people are praising it and I'm at school so I can't turn it on.

Also, I ended up with 39 points from the 49ers D, I knew they were shorting me McKillops TD recovery in the endzone (the Special Teams TD in the first half). The last few performances from them have me seriously considering keeping them for the entire season. Not only that, but we face the Seahawks and Rams again, so I know those'll be good games :lol

how can a team have the division locked up so early? i seriously can't conceive of a way the niners don't win the west unless the colts and niners games were total flukes for the cards. i just don't think they're on the same page at all this year and of course there's no way the seahawks and rams aren't doing anything.

I loved it, great rant.

I said it earlier this season the protecting the QB stuff is bullshit. A defensive player can purposely go for injury and they get fined chump change and get a 15 yard penalty while the QB gets to miss games or the rest of the season.
Meanwhile I've seen my team's QB get illegally hit enough times that fines for players that have hit him are pushing 200k yet most of those plays weren't even flagged at the time.
Not to mention its blatantly obvious that the "elite" QB's are the only ones getting "protected" by the refs.

And then in the rant players make perfect tackles on quarterbacks and get flagged, or even trying not to hit the qb get flagged.
Its too much of a judgment call on the field.
Let 'em play and then review the tape afterwards if something was questionable fine or actually punish dirty play with suspensions.

Flozell keeps tripping, you think he'll give a shit about any fines? No, suspend his ass and he'll cut that shit out.
Jared Allen is notoriously dirty, what's his incentive to stop being a dirty piece of shit? Nothing.

That's what I figured they do. Is that what they did last week? I only caught snippets from streaming, but I thought everything was down field again and was puzzled why they abandoned it.

Yeah, they tried hard to run the ball so obviously there were a lot of third and longs. Tonight I doubt Grant gets 15 carries.
 
I really dont know who to pick for this game...

If I pick the vikings it might be win/win. Either Farve will lose and ill be happy or they win and I get my pick right. Hmmmmm.

On plays like the ones where the Ravens got called for missing Brady, the defense needs to earn it. Later in the game they need to absolutely cheap shot the motherfucker. At least the QB's will stop crying like a little girl bitch about phantom hits.

Well, to be fair, the AFC South looks really weak too, the Colts look unstoppable right now. Although I'll admit no conference has as weak of competition as the NFC West for the 49ers. AFC West comes close, but Chargers are probably better than the Cardinals (despite the fact that their Defense couldn't stop anything :lol )
 
Shit I hate Favre now more than ever. I hate the hype and I hate making the Packers the sentimental underdogs.

Mendenhall did absolutely nothing until this game and that one run versus Chicago. While Sweed has dropped some passes, he's shown promise as a route runner and has the quickness to blow past defenders. I'm still confident that he'll pan out as a great receiver.
