Pretty reasonable. Most of them are just "complete mode X". There's also one for getting 200k points, and ones for snagging some of the late-game items. The only one I see myself having real trouble getting is the 400k point one. That is going to be rough.
There's also an achievement where you have to emit a spark for a whole second! Most difficult achievement in the history of Xbox Live!

Yeah, I think it's just there to teach you that you need to plan your turns ahead of time.

Finally, I was just thinking that it was crazy this wasn't out yet on VC.

Indeed, though it looks like it is hitting more then just the VC now. The question really is when is Sega going start actually showing their Vintage Collection goods?

Also seemingly the quickest turnaround of opinion ever.

360 seems to be the Home of the Turnaround.

ZOMG FM2 HAS ASS GRAPHICS > ZOMG I WANT A MGS CAR
Shadowruin > Shadowfun
Flaccidton > Best Pac Evar

It's a fun machine to have around.

:)

Will the 360 version be a straight port, though?

That is the thing nobody seems to know for any of Sega's classic titles, we do not have that kind of information just yet.

ESRB Watch: New Title revealed for the Virtual Console and XBLA.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Sega E Wii, Xbox 360

I'm gonna laugh is this is Sonic the Hedgehog Next-Gen 2.

How would Sonic 2 for 360 be up there if we STILL haven't gotten Sonic 1?

Best
Pac Man
Ever

To quote Dreamcaster:
"good god this game rocks. THIS is how you do a remake. hot graphics, ORIGINAL sound effects, HOT remix of the pacman theme, awesome new gameplay WTF this came outta nowhere."

I can't believe it took Namco so many years to see all we wanted all along were new mazes and a lil spice added to them.

This is so much better than those shitty 3d games pretending to be maze games.

If Pac-Man CE becomes successful, I wonder if it'll start a trend of CE'ing other classic games

The idea of recruiting the original designers to fashion true sequels to 20 year old games is pretty interesting. I'm trying to think of a retro sequel I'd really like to see...

Latest XBLA list from Major Nelson:

Good to see Pac-Man at the top, despite all the thrash about the price. Word of mouth seems to be off the charts, so I suspect it's going to have a nice long run near the top of the list.

Yeah, PoP will probably take the #1 spot next week, but it will be interesting to see if Pac-Man can get #2.

Worms wasn't even on the list two weeks ago, so I guess the update and DLC have really helped. As for TMNT... I'll never understand why people would want to play that game over and over. Or is it really selling that well? I guess I'll never understand that either. :)

These lists are the "Top 10 XBLA Sales" for that week. Basically, people are still buying that game like crazy.

Actually, no. All the lists at majornelson.com are based on "LIVE Activity for week of ...", it's just that the XBLA list is based on activities for titles purchased.

Edit: nevermind. a Master Ninja is correct. The XBLA list is based on sales for that week.

How much has TMNT sold so far? This is a GREAT sign that publishers will make deals like this in the future. (Hell, EA has hinted that we may see Konami's The Simpsons arcade game)

I don't remember EA hinting about a Simpsons Arcade port. That would be awesome if true. Since their new game isn't coming until this fall (to coincide with the DVD of the movie) they should really try to release the arcade game in July, opposite the theatrical release. I just hope they can get a deal done with Konami. It makes logical sense and EA has proven they know how to make money with little work. :)

Don't play with my emotions

Why have it as a bonus when you can charge people for it!

Seriously, that makes no sense at all... unless they charge $65 for the game.

Good to know that the arcade game makes the producer smile as well. We'll all me smiling next month!

Well, I guess I spoke a little soon soon about that huge ass Band of Bugs preview because a new update had been unfurled this time dealing with the Level Editor.

So what's on the cards this week?

Prince of Persia Classic is confirmed for this week as for a potential second game, Carcassonne is the number one contender with other potentials ranging from the usual classic shovelware to one of the list games. (Spyglass, Street Trace, Undertow)

Prince of Persia Classic should be enough. That seems like a very well done game, and I hope it's successful - there doesn't need to be two releases competing for sales IMO.

Pac-Man CE is a whole lotta fun. I do wish it was a little more fully featured though. I like being able to watch a replay of my game afterward but it woulda been nice to be able to save that and share it with friends -- or at least upload it so you can see how the top players attack a maze (Tetris Evolution has something similar to this, actually, where you can watch a top player's replay). It's also sorely missing multiplayer, which would've added a nice dimension to the game.

Kinda winced at the price -- $10 is a lot for what is mostly bare bones Pac-Man with a timed element. Like some've said with Calling All Cars, it doesn't quite seem like you're getting $10 worth of game here. Would've been nice to get a discount if you'd already bought the regular edition of Pac-Man (which I did...I'm a sucker).
So, is it better than Pac-Man collection? They are about the same price...
