Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix crawls closer

An astute reader tipped us off to an advertisement, rotating its way around IGN this morning proclaiming that Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix was available for download. Skeptical, we fired up the clapped-out old banger and checked Xbox Live Arcade to little fanfare. It was time to get Capcom on the horn.
Unsurprisingly, the banner was merely IGN's advertising department jumping the gun and the ad was quickly removed upon mention. Capcom did, however, confirm that Super Puzzle Fighter will still be seeing a coordinated launch this month (the first of its kind, they add) across Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and Steam. Keep your eyes peeled for a more concrete date, but rest assured ... it's soon.
[Thanks, Seth!]

The finest railgun in the business will be making its way to Xbox Live Arcade as id announces Quake Arena for Microsoft's download service. Previously, this release was merely a rumor fueled by a surprise listing on the ESRB website, so it's great to finally have an official word to go on.
Also true to the ESRB listing is that Pi Studios -- best known for their work on the Call of Duty series and the upcoming Mercaneries 2: World in Flame -- is behind the port.
No comment as to when Quake Arena will see release was made by id.
Marathon Durandal Making You Green in the Gills?
I don't really know what green in the gills means, but it doesn't sound pleasant.
We're seeing reports that some gamers people are experiencing discomfort with continued play of the Xbox LIVE Arcade game Marathon: Durandal. We're told that within the next few days we'll implement a dashboard message on the download screen to provide some steps gamers can take if this affects them. We're also investigating other options to address the issue.

The fundamental problem with BBR, as a rhythm game, is that the timing is slightly off. You press the buttons at the height of a tone (whatever that's called in music terms), rather than the beginning of it like in every rhythm game ever. Makes the game much harder than it needs to be.sankao said:I'm playing Boom Boom Rocket Demo right now and loving it. Am I part of the problem ?
I have to admit that this is my first rythm game, but what is fundamentally wrong about this game that should prevent me from playing it ?

Two words:SapientWolf said:Hod does UNO continue to sell so well? It is pretty fun for awhile, but wow. Every other game gets buried in a few weeks but UNO just keeps on going.

- Tips for winning Archway?
- Tips for winning Matrimony? This one's really lame, unless I'm missing something.
- Tips for getting the Flying Aces achievement?
- Being a solitaire newb, which are the interesting games in the downloadable packs?
nelkon and parker said:Wow, Bomberman is doing awsome. That is great XBLA arcade game, a bit buggy, but a solid game nonetheless.
joaomgcd said:It's not necessarily selling. People are just playing it a lot.
These lists are based on global unique users connected to Xbox Live or in the case of Arcade, full versions purchased this week. If the Xbox 360 list and the original Xbox list were combined, then Gears of War continues to be the top Xbox Live title. The arcade list is based on full versions purchased.

Brakara said:No, the XBLA list is actually based on sales that week. From Major Nelson:

george21000 said:I think you misread that. It's based on full versions bought that are played. I.E. Demos don't count. That's why he makes that statement so people don't think a game is at the top because of it being demoed so much.
I would buy Carcasonne over them both. But out of the two, I would go with Pac Man.Quazar said:Pac-man CE or Catan?
