Xbox LIVE Vision camera support in all Xbox LIVE multiplayer modes.

thats cool,

dunno about this game, enjoyed the other ninja bee games but i'll check the demo.

waiting for bomerman, carcassoine and track & field.....

Yay, Band of Bugs. Probably my most anticipated XBLA title, if only because the Partnernet copy has been broken for months and it's like the only upcoming XBLA title I haven't played. Actually feels nice to go virgin on a title for once!

Then again, it might also be because I'm a massive Kaloki fan and really enjoyed Clyde as well. Here's to hoping they break the pattern and don't go with time-based achievements this time around.

How about a collective "STFU" aimed at you!

Also, see Eggo's post.

I challenge you to a match when Carcassonne finally comes out. I need to avenge my loss to you in Catan. The wound still stings.

Players will enjoy unlimited variety in their gameplay choices with the Xbox LIVE Arcade’s first ever free built-in level editor, which they can use to create custom maps and play with friends over Xbox LIVE.
Whoa.

I actually have a high of 309K but my connection was dropped. :D

give me a couple of hours :lol :lol :lol

ooohhh a level editor in Band of Bugs also cool, look forward to trying it out, even if the art style isn't pushing my buttons.

Just when you think XBLA might be slipping back into the realms of blandness, along comes several weeks of total awesome.

I'm so in on that one as well. Our best Catan match was the first where you build into that corner and I built in the middle :lol

There is a nice interview with David Edery (Worldwide Games Portfolio Planner for Xbox Live Arcade) up at XBLArcade. Quite a few interesting things said there.

more often than not, we’ll be releasing two titles a week, and who knows… you might see three a week someday.

I’m personally interested in increasing the number of multiplayer casual games that we offer – especially cooperative multiplayer casual games. I’m also looking for casual games that take advantage of user-generated content in interesting ways.

"Part 2 will cover how David sees the competition and where he sees XBLA heading in the future."

Gamespot's Bomberman preview write up says that the game will release around July at or below 1200 points.

http://www.gamespot.com/pages/games...6172757&part=rss&tag=gs_previews&subj=6172757

As mentioned, Hudson threw Act Zero's gritty stylings out with the bathwater; Bomberman Live is fully back to form with silly characters and whimsical environments. The company hasn't committed to firm release plans or pricing for the game yet, but reps said somewhat noncommittally that it's a safe bet you'll see the game available for download sometime around July at or under 1,200 points.

It hasn't been posted in this thread as far as I could tell, but I think it deserves mention. GameSpot was mistaken when they said Beautiful Katamari was coming to XBLA, and they retracted the statement.

How did they make such an error in the first place?

I don't know why everyone is crying it isn't out this week -- it has always been down for a July release.

And it was on Xbox.com for 800pts, so someone do a screengrab and claim false advertising when it's on XBLA for 1200. :lol

It is partially because of some erroneous information and also to due to the fact that like 6 people here seems to even know what Band of Bugs is.

I think there were some of us, mainly myself, who had hyped themselves this week because it was listed on the XBLA arcade official page.

BTW, the latest Xbox Australia newsletter had a list of 'new releases', for XBLA. Basedes BOB, It included Track and Field on there, so that's probably next week.

probably because it looks like an xbla game

Yeah, this was the mindset of the previewer "Wow, this is may be the best, most full featured original XBLA title ever." Then when it comes time to review the game "Wait, this is a retail game that costs $60? 4.8".

Since the XBLA offering has been really good lately, I suppose they can get a pass on this one. Boy does it look terrible.

Yea, sometimes in life some filler must flow, though they will probably release it beside the vastly superior Discs of Tron.

As far as Hoopworld goes, the game hasn't been formally canceled or anything like that but I do recall the product being in development hell when it fell behind in release last year and Streamline said they were going to "rework" Hoopworld.

What's up with these consistently conservative file sizes on recent titles, 33mb makes me not want to spend ten dollars. With the increased size cap I figured games would start coming out a little more content rich, additional background music at least.

Well, the thing is the most of the titles being released were working under the old constraints
and not enough additional time was added to up the memory capacity.

size != quality. I mean, look at the debris scene demo or the kkrieger game. The original Diablo install was less than 12MB wasn't it? Procedural content makes for really small installs.

Size != value

EDIT: beaten!

This is actually one of the fuller featured XBLA games. It's got vision camera support, a level editor, leaderboards, 3d graphics, multiplayer up to 8 people, etc.

I don't see what file size matters.

Complaining because a file is too small? WHAT? Before CD-ROMS most games were only a few megabytes large and you would get hours of gameplay out of games likeFinal Fantasy VI, Super Mario World, Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star IV, etc. etc. Ugh.
