I think it evens out. The story is still interesting, and I ended up enjoying the battle system somewhat. However some of the dialogue and much of the voice acting just wasn't my cup of tea. Albedo, in both young (Scott Menville?) and adult form was the best voiced character, I felt. Both actors really nailed it. Not just the personality, but how the words are meant to be said. I can't say the same for Shion's VA, or MOMO's. Or Juli's. Or even Jr's.

Just finished the game. After 26 hours, it feels like nothing much happened. The story is still interesting enough for me to want XSIII though. Wonder how that'll turn out with the ppl who came up with the story gone.

The ending was such a major letdown after the really good one from XSI.

Especially compared to the midpoint cinema where KOS-MOS came to Shion's rescue. Definitely the highlight of the game for me. KOS-MOS just makes any cut-scene that much better.




So the guy in red mask is Kevin(he's Shion's dead bf right??). Any clue as to who the blue, black, and white guys are?

Blue is Virgil; this was revealed near the end of Episode I. Black is Voyager, the guy who killed Ziggy's son. Not much is really known about him yet. Most people think Albedo's the White Testament.

There was a bit of information on Voayger in Xenosaga: Pied Piper. In T.C. 4667, Voyager was a UMN cyberterrorist. He made a deal with U-DO to give it the souls of the people he kills. Dmitri Yuriev was one of the head U-DO researches at the time and was shown 'the end of the world' by U-DO and became afraid of it. Wilhelm was also sending out Realians equipped with 'Canaan' to find people with shining wills. Voyager killed Ziggy's wife and son before he himself was finally killed. Wilhelm approached Ziggy before he killed himself and gave him an option to become a Testament. Ziggy refused and killed himself. He then approached Voyager and he accepted.
