So I screwed up my comp. trying to purge the porn from from my HDD so I used this oppurtunity to install the newer/bigger HDD I had and was meaning to install but I lost all my stuff from the original HDD :(

So now I am starting from scratch and need some new downloads..

From hear on out I am using Firefox as my default browser (learned my lesson from last time) but the main reason I didn't use it as much as IE is because it IE seem to work better with my existing media player and whatnot....

At any rate, is winamp still the defacto media player out there?

With E3 coming up soon, I want to be able to play ALL media files (MPEG,AVI, Quicktime,Divx and whatever else) plus I wouldn't mind getting a good download accelerator and whatever the best free antivirus/adware/anitpopup app would be...

Anyone know of some kewl apps to put on my "new" comp?

You mean you formatted your new drive right? :D

I use WMP, Winamp for MP3s, I also have Quicktime, Real Player(rename that stincker file named realsched.exe to something else to prevent it from starting at startup). Why not have them all?
Ad-aware. I use flashget as my download manager but I don't use it much. The normal one works just fine.

Basically, download things as they are needed.

Don't forget to update windows.
