Olive Garden has capitalized on the popularity of their breadsticks and launched two new Signature Breadstick Sandwiches featuring a shorter but slightly wider breadstick bun.

The Signature Breadstick Sandwiches are offered as part of a lunch combo, which comes with garlic Parmesan fries, unlimited breadsticks (because one breadstick bun is just not enough), and a choice of soup or salad.

Starting at $7.99 for the combo, the Signature Breadstick Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich comes with a fried Parmesan-breaded chicken breast that's topped with Italian cheese and marinara sauce inside the new breadstick bun.

You mean someone buy the box of this stuff at a store, and make an ultimate sandwich at home? I don't want a stroke from the food.

People have done worse, but I was more talking about a chain attempting to do it, whether it be fast food or a fast casual place.

Those sandwiches look tasty, but I didn't know Olive Garden's breadsticks were that popular. Might be good to try once.

Unlimited bread is always going to garner a following. Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, Outback Steakhouse, Pappadeaux...

So fattening, but oh so good ;_;

Guys, I am going to Olive Garden today; I will be getting the chicken Parmesan and my soup choice will be chicken gnocchi. Will take pictures, let's see if they look anything like the promo shot.

If you don't report back by end of day we'll assume you've died due to Olive Garden.

Whoever mentioned Cheesecake Factory should look at the carrot cake nutrition. A whole cake is mindboggling calorie-heavy.
