While wrestling isn't my thing, but I see it as people watching Soap Opera's, only with sweaty men hitting each other.

I just don't like the people that only wear the shirts and all they can talk about is wrestling.. that's a little much.

it's cheesy and boring

Fake is the dumbest thing to hate on wrestling for.

Hate on it for big the organizations like TNA and WWE being mostly shit.

What gets me are the folks who watch reality television but shit on dudes for watching Professional Wrestling. LOL

Look at this shit, man. Pawned off as "real" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3X1bc4kNLHI

I got no problem with watching this garbage by the way. I'm talking about both sources of entertainment. But you can't take a dump on one when you support the other. That shit is absurd.

If wrestling is fake, then why did Godzilla learn the art of the Lou Thesz Press?

Why did a giant lobster do a spinning neck breaker in the ocean to Godzilla?

Why did Godzilla learn a picture perfect lady's body slam?

And you're telling me that's all fake? Real life techniques used by Godzilla himself. Nothing fake about it.

The problem with wrestling is that it looks really fake. A choreographed fight scene in a movie still looks real. A semi-improvised wrestling match looks cheap, stupid and dumb. Nobody buys that a 250 pound guy would let another dude drag him around the ring or throw him into the ropes and then run directly into an obvious clothesline.

They do?

Because some people think it's not "manly" as UFC.

Yeah, I'm sure after breaking bones and busting up your face, risking injury isn't manly.

Hardcore UFC fan here. I can definitely appreciate the blood, sweat, and tears that goes in to putting on a great pro wrestling show after I matured and saw things from both sides. Just happens to not be my cup of tea. Good god it makes for great gifs though.

Brock Lesnar became UFC champ

He was gifted a title shot because he was an incredibly huge money maker while not being a champ. Making him a champ and dubbing him the "Baddest Man on the Planet" (a title that was always unofficially attributed to Fedor Emelianenko for many years) made him that much more of a money maker.

Too bad he never let people in sparring actually punch him, maybe he would've been able to last. He crumpled and turtled up every time he got punched in the cage. Worst champion ever, imo. I wish he never came to MMA.

UFC straight up used WWE highlights to build up Brock, which made people totally buy into the aura they wanted to sell. For something that everyone makes fun of for being so stupid, they totally bought into Brock being the ultimate bad ass because of what he did in pro wrestling. His huge buyrates were directly based on WWE hype.

Yeah, to the OP's point, I hate that shitty, smug attitude that they have when they say it, like they pulled back the curtain for me...revealed all the secrets of the universe...
