Oh sweet summer child it's not even the best football advert let alone the best advert

In the UK in the 90s it was like there was a competition to make the most epic, expensive, utterly pretentious ads on TV. The artistry was celebrated and the directors became famous, if they weren't already. Damned if you could tell what product they advertising, though.

Guess what this unlimited-budget beauty is advertising:


This one won all sorts of awards, and seemed to be shown in every single ad break for ages:

There was another great NFL ad in a grocery store where a cashier came on duty and says "I'm open over here!" and then gets pelted in the face with a pineapple.
