One of the best car crashes ever captured on Dashcam

SlimySnake

Flashless at the Golden Globes
Just saw this. I have a feeling its about to go viral. You really have to see it to believe it. What's more impressive is what causes the crash and that no one died!

I dont think ive ever seen a stunt like this even in a movie.

I would not call it the best, but it is crazy how a tire can make you fly 10 feet in the air.

The tire though took out the front and then tapped the back to add insult to the injury.

The tire coming back after the crash like

Jeez it landed upside down, crushing the driver's side roof. Can't believe they walked away with "minor injuries"
Reminds of that dude who drove his family off a cliff in a murder suicide only to survive with minor injuries. That was a Tesla but its amazing how cars are built nowadays.

I'm assuming that they were belted in instead of not wearing their seatbelt so that "They'd be thrown clear" (Yeah people actually believe that one.)

Wow. What a crash. Good to see the driver is ok.

But I dont know what's more amazing. Survival or the tire rolled right back to the car!

Dam, does it have to do with that truck making his wheels stick out like that? Why would you even do that? How much space do you need to occupy to compensate your small 🦐

That was nuts. I watch a lot of dashcam video compilations on YouTube, and what always gets me, and constantly makes the mind bend, is how what seems like the littlest of bumps (not in this case obviously) but in others, can make a 2 ton vehicle bounce off or jettison in ways that looks like it defies the laws of physics every single time. I have to rewind and watch them over and over when it happens.

Inertia makes crazy things happen. And two tons of steel at highway speeds has massive amounts of it.

Yeah. I've even seen very slow "fender benders" at intersections all of a sudden bounce a car up and off like it was shot from a slingshot. Rubber hitting steel at the right angles with inertia does some wild things that look like it shouldn't be possible.

Imagine driving along chillin then next second you're flying through the air! Don't think the driver knew what was happening.

Also makes you appreciate the engineering and safety that goes into cars.

I wonder if that loose wheel acted like the tread on an automatic ball-pitcher and helped launch it more than if it'd been a stationary, non-rotating tire.

I always feel like automotive manufacturers should use these kinds of wrecks in commercials.

Like imagine watching this clip and then at the end it fades to "2023 Kia Soul. Starting at 24,999 and can survive this"

What's up with GAF's new CAPTCHA on embedded videos? Makes them unwatchable for me - I can't even do them.

If I was them I'd be worried if I did that somebody would sue. You know, they'd claim Kia promised that they'd be ok and even though they high and drunk and racing and not wearing their seatbelt when they crashed and became a quadraplegic as a result. (You know there's a lawyer out there that would argue that.)

It wouldnt have the momentum to launch the car but its rotation probably helped get it in under the car rather than just being pushed aside by the front fender.

The truck's wheel spacers not tightened down enough? Seems to be running a poke stance so could be wheel spacers failing or something along those lines.

But this one still the craziest crash for me. Fucking Dukes of Hazzard type shit

Jesus Christ I can't imagine being the driver there. One second you are driving and the next thing you know you are however many feet in the air and about to land on your roof.

Insane stuff.

Not my favorite kind of porn, but I did enjoy the start of the video where the news presenter suffers back a chuckle. She looked like she was also amused by the idea that people lap this shit up like pancake batter.

The best thing about the crash was how the Tesla on which it was filmed automatically avoided the tire.
