Art's intervention to get answers ruins Sarah's chance to bring Helena back to sanity. The Orphans must choose whether to form an alliance with their creators.
I probably won't get a chance to watch until some time tomorrow, but I'm looking forward to this one.
Just a quick reminder that BBC America and Space in Canada are running a marathon of the entire first season leading into the finale starting at noon ET today in case you know anyone that might want to get caught up on the show.
I don't know if I'd say you NEED to watch the finale livethere's no gargantuan reveals that I would see being spoiled if you're carefulbut it's definitely very good.
Yes! That was a glorious moment. I always suspected that Alison's husband was her monitor.
I'm going to miss Tatiana and her amazing clones. It should be fun to watch the Rachel clone and how despicable she gets.
I agree they didn't really resolve that many plot points
aside from Helena I guess
, but I don't think they should reveal the purpose behind the grand experiment yet if at all. The truth is always disappointing compared to what we imagine when we don't know. However I agree that this season finale was still vaguely dissatisfying in the way of 'more questions than answers'. The most satisfying bit of 'closure' it seemed to offer me was the reveal of
the patent
, and not because it is self explanatory but because it reveals the attitudes of those conducting the experiment, and where the clones stand. And that's not 'satisfying' in the conventional sense for obvious reasons. Otherwise it seems like all or most of the plot points are just staying in suspension until the next season starts.
The obvious path, to me anyway, would be that Kira wasn't captured. Mrs S managed to get away with her in tow. That may or may not be so, but there's no way she's still with the company at this point. She saw the photo the birth mother had and offered, "it was a long time ago" by way of apology. She cut ties when she left with Sarah, that's certain.
Some other thoughts:
They managed to turn Allison's monitor situation into something interesting after all. Her husband being a monitor was clear from the start, but letting the blonde girl die like that was unexpected. Art and that other detective finding out about Alison, how much was that to keep them in the loop vs. turning the pressure on Alison about the death next season?
And on Cosima:
Anyone else seeing her going to work for Lieki next season? Both her and her monitor will pretend to be unaware of the DNA sequence they found, hoping they'll find a cure/diagnosis.
Didn't seem to have the same punch for me as the last couple episodes, but very good nonetheless. Great season. Great new show. Great lead actress. She is seriously amazing.
