For being an (annoyingly) caring BBF, Ainsley got cheated on, beat up, and watched while the disposal strangled her. Oh, and she has kids.

Glad Mrs. S' (wonder why they use "Mrs." but could be a formality) earlier bit about Kira being a miracle wasn't just a subtle red herring.

She'll get a nod and nothing else, because fuck Emmy's. They treat BBC like some outlier or something, I mean they snubbed Idris like what 3 times?

Just finished watching the last episode. Wow. This is hands down the best science fiction I've seen in a long time and Tatiana Maslany is a star in the making.

edit - how could they leave the Mrs. S. reveal in the dark. That's just cruel. (Even though at this point it's fairly obvious that she was involved with the company)

Holy crap. I was not expecting Allison to just watch Aynesley just choke to death in a garbage disposal. I thought that Donnie was the watcher from the beginning (though I did start to have some doubts).

I love how Rachel has a different British accent than Sarah. Also loved the "UP YOURS, PROCLONE".

I'm not sure what to think about Mrs S, or who took Kira.

Sepinwall summed up my first season thoughts.
I also continued to be pleased with the way the creative team unspooled the story, letting one decision by Sarah clearly lead to the next, to the next, and then introducing outside characters like... right when the plot needed some more goosing. This show is an excellent example of the advantages of a limited episode run: Graeme Manson, John Fawcett and company knew they had 10 episodes to play with initially, and could push the narrative pedal to the metal, rather than screwing around.
Season 1 left a lot of open questions, but I still found it quite satisfying. Very happy with the first season and impressed with 2013 TV so far. The Americans and Orphan Black had very strong opening seasons. Legit is my #3 right now.

Season 2 can't start soon enough.

Highly recommend. Watch this show!

Will drop pants for Sony.
Watched the entire season 1 on on-demand and it was good. Loved the main character and all the different characters she played and the nice butt shots of some of the guys even the cute gay guy.

What an amazing actress. Every time I try to count the actors in the show, I accidentally count one clone as if they were different. And I'm actively trying not to.

This was a great season, and the 10 episode format is perfect for it, though waiting a whole year for another season seems too much (like for Vikings), do you guys know when it will come back?

Just caught up on the finale. Really strong first season and a masterful, truly special performance by the lead. I think this show proves that nearly any concept can work so long as the execution is there.

Holy shite at this show, damn!

I demand Maslany to get an Emmy for each clone! So amazing.

I was worried that would run out of fuel for season 2, but this finale already trounced those feelings completely. When does it start again?

Unless we're introduced to more, they've got a good, manageable group for her to work with in: Proclone (Rachel), Sarah, Alison, and Cosima.

Probably the same time frame, end of March 2014.

A few comments from the writer's room in The Hive recap:
Q: How was the character of Rachel conceived? Why was she chosen to be the next clone we meet?
A: When we came up with the concept of ProClone, the idea of a child raised within a corporation and fully aware of who she is was something we wanted to explore. Tatiana was really excited about exploring the elite perspective of the 1%. For inspiration she looked at the films “Margin Call,” Meryl Streep in “The Devil Wears Prada,” and Anna Wintour of Vogue Magazine.

Q: Will we meet more clones next season? How many are there? Will we ever meet the original?
A: In order: Yes, Highly Guarded Show Secret, and Stay Tuned…

Q: Can you explain how Amelia was Sarah and Helena’s ‘birth mother?’
A: Sure! You can learn all about how mammals have been created and implanted in surrogate mums by reading the real-world procedures used in creating Dolly the Sheep, here:
http://www.roslin.ed.ac.uk/public-interest/dolly-the-sheep/technical-aspects-of-cloning/

Q: Does Amelia’s appearance mean there were surrogates all over the place, in multiple countries, having clone babies at the same time?
A: Yeppers.

Q: Where are the other clones’ ‘birth mothers?’
A: We have not yet met the other clones’ surrogates, nor their ultimate, adoptive mothers. We only see their influences in the unique characteristics and values of each clone.

Q: Who plays Amelia? She’s fantastic!
A: Amelia is played by the amazing Melanie Nicholls-King. You may recognize her as Cheryl from The Wire,” Noelle Williams from “Rookie Blue,” or Judge Avery Hansen in “One Life to Live” – among her many kick-ass credits. Amelia’s also a short film producer.

Great, great show. Might be my favorite of this season's crop. Amazing job by the lead, incredible how she managed to create all these different personas. Not even once was it jarring when two clones were interacting.

Too many good recommendations for me to hold off watching this show till July when the Blu-ray comes out. I cracked and got it on Amazon Instant. If it comes to Netflix tomorrow I will kick myself.

I doubt they'd undercut the dvd sales by putting it up so quickly, but stranger things have happened. In any case, enjoy the series!

They have been putting BBC shows up quickly, which is why I was holding out on this....but there has been no news of it going up and I think The Fall and Top Of The Lake were both announced as going on Netflix early.

I wasn't sure how it was working for BBCA content like Copper. Perhaps it will be up sooner than expected, but I haven't heard anything about that. I've just been assuming that the early dvd release was a new strategy to get the show out to a lot of people while the buzz is still flowing.

She still believes Aynsley is the monitor.

That totally took me by surprise though that she let her die like that,I mean she just got told she would be free from her and all,why let her die like that, she was even moving...besides that, pretty great season finale...did you guy notice when the 3 clones where in Felix's appartment the little mistake, well it looked a little weird to me,when Allison turned over to Sarah to pour her wine,it wasn't quite timed right but still,it was directed well overall.

But Spring 2014...? damn :( that's a long wait.

I think BBC has been doing the quick turnaround with DVDs for little while. They got the latest Doctor Who season out quickly.
