Pretty sad.

When was the last time a hard Sci Fi show got nominated anyway?

Hard Sci Fi?

Fantasy has been doing fairly well recently, but yeah I don't know. Lost, X-Files, and Star Trek TNG are the last "sci-fi" series to get nominated for drama. Battlestar Galactica got a couple writing noms, but that is pretty much it for the last 20 years. Many of these series could be considered partly fantasy/supernatural though.

All the cool stuff she did can be attributed to GRRM and the directing of the show, it wasn't her acting that made those big "event scenes" great. Fairley was robbed of a nomination.

This is what i mean.
She had a lot of screen-time, and some badass scenes for the character, but i can't remember any particularly stand-out performance.

Maybe Maslany should show her tits next season.

That's gotta up the artsy points, right?
She got naked in the pilot.

Even Tatiana is sometimes caught off guard at how good she is.

She was like, "But I'm always playing just one character... well, I mean, unless they're overlapping..."

ps: fuck Paul

Notes on what went down at the panel.

-Jordan says his favorite clone to act with was Allison, but he's probably Team Cosima. Dylan is with Allison, because "yoga pants!" Graeme says he's with Cosima, because she's based on a real friend of his, who is a science advisor. John goes with Helena, and the Helena fans erupt. I will accept that, too. Allison, Helena, Cosima, Sarah, in that order.

Dylan knows what's up!

I'm on episode seven of this show. Why can't we get great character driven Sci-Fi like this in the US? Continuum is the only thing close and it's Canadian produced.

So I finally got around to watching this show... and jesus fucking christ is it good. I love how quickly the story moves along and there is some damn fine acting as well. Can't wait to see where it goes with season two.

Well, as Orphan Black has shown, clones have fairly short life spans.

Kings was amazing.

Eh, it was okay. I was more into the concept than the execution. BUT FROM THE CREATOR OF DO NO HARM!

Because too many US genre shows are focused on plot versus character.

I'm the opposite. I thought they did a great job with such a ridiculous premise. McShane, Susanna Thompson, and Sebastian Stan all acting their balls off. Eamonn Walker as a weird Old Testament prophet.

Mnnnnn.
