Paul didn't know about the clones when he was Beth's monitor either. I'm kinda surprised Allison and Sarah assumed Donnie knew about the clones in the first place.

Edit: Loved how far Allison's passive aggressiveness goes, decorating everyone's name tag but leaving Donnie's plain.

Up until this point, Sarah and Felix has been taking it from Allison's perspective that Donnie was her monitor. I don't think Allison ever stopped to think that he wouldn't know why he was monitoring her. And considering how long Donnie's been functioning as her monitor, it wouldn't be outlandish to assume he'd be in on the experiment by that point.

Anyway, now both Allison and Donnie are guilty of accidentally aiding in the death of a person. Hopefully this experience makes their marriage stronger.
