Another fun episode. Saw Leekie's death coming a mile away, but thought it was still a good scene. I'm curious to see whether or not this draws Donnie closer to Alison.

I was not expecting the one in the car to be Donnie. Totally caught me off-guard! Thought it would have been one of Dr. Bowles' henchmen, but what an awesome scene it ended up being.

I thought it was some random henchman too, but once I saw that it was Donnie, I could see where they were going with it.

I could tell it was him in the shadows right away. Dude has a big head.

Didn't even notice that he could be made out at first glace until I went back and saw it again. Dude's head is huge, you're right!

Yeah, for sure; I really like the send-off that they have given some of the characters so far. Wonder if there will be any more deaths by season's end!

Daaaaaamn. Fucking Donny though! For an episode so focused on the physical comedy (god bless them for bringing Vic back just for his collapse) that sure had a black ending.

I only started watching this today since a friend tweeted about it last week. Binging watching season 1, up to episode 7 so far. Had no expectations and it's absolutely blown me away. Will definitely catch up to season 2 soon, haven't read anything in this thread yet.

Episodes like that one really cements that the show was better when it didn't have all the Dyad stuff weighing it down. As good as the Donnie stuff was I wish there was more Parent Trap-esque nonsense.

Why is no one talking about Tatiana's amazing performance as Cosima this episode. I thought her blow up at Delphine was just phenomenal especially after their whole lovey-dovey montage.

Also is anyone just really tired of Kira's dad? I don't know he just seems really boring to me and I just don't feel the chemistry there like I do with Paul and Sarah.

Honestly, I consistently forget that she plays Cosima. They've been separated so long.

When has Paul had chemistry with anyone?

But yea, the stuff with Kira's dad is pretty lame.

I don't see it. He's the same stone faced tool with everyone. It's even worse when he's paired up with someone else actually showing emotions.

Agreed. Also, his character arc is exceptionally boring seeing as he has no spine and flips his allegiance every single time anyone threatens him with anything.

Kira's dad has to go back to Essos... Uhh, best stop there...

I started watching this week and burned through the first season and caught up with episode six Thursday. I got hooked, I like that the show is only ten episodes a season even though that means longer waits. I knew that was Donnie in the car and when the gun went off I was all like "fuckin' Donnie!"

I thought the ending was pretty goofy. I hate when they do these silly accidental deaths, like Ainsley's. Otherwise a good episode, with lots of funny moments and good drama (I actually felt some sympathy for Rachel for once hah). And I like Kira's dad... way more than Paul that's for sure.

"Hi mom!"
"Hello... kids...."

XD

Finished all season 1 and now up to date with season 2 in one day, totally worth it. Season 2's pace/storyline/characters aren't as excellent as season 1, but still great nonetheless. It's 4.30am and I'm about to watch the new GoT, gotta get up for work at 7.30am :D

Welcome to the Clone Club.

Speaking of Ainsley, I saw Natasha Lisinska (actress) in a certain movie. Interesting stuff...

And I didn't realize Michael Mando did work on Far Cry 3.
Heh, I knew that was his voice!

And speaking of voices I was geniunley surprised to find out that Tatiana and Felix's actor arn't actually Landaners in real life. As someone from England, I'm pretty used to hearing terrible English accents in film and TV, but their accents are so good they had me convinced they were actually real life cockneys doing American accents.

While BBC America has yet to officially renew Orphan Black for a third season, the clone drama is expected to be green-lighted in the coming weeks, giving the producers the opportunity to deep-dive into that mythology bible.

Asked by EW how much viewers can expect to see of Michelle Forbes as Marian going forward, he confirmed that the actress, who made her Orphan debut in “Knowledge Of Causes and Secret Motion Of Things,” is not only “important to the story and to upcoming episodes,” but “beyond”.

Speaking to THR, Forbes teased her part in the Season 2 end game and how it sets up Season 3:

"I’m in the last two episodes as well. It gets far more complex than this one episode. It gets wonderfully weird. There are moments on set where I’m like, “Oh my god, you’re all mentally mad!” — in the most wonderful, highly intellectually sophisticated way. It seems so outlandish, yet still everything connects. It connects underground, it connects above ground.

I know a lot of people say “Buckle up and get ready,” but it’s true [of the Season 2 finale]. They’ve called “cut” and I just turn to them and say, “Good lord, where are you guys going with this?” because it just keeps getting weirder and more complicated and yet it all makes sense."

In this chat with EW, Fawcett also touched on Rachel’s reunion with her father – a scene which elicited a rarely seen bit of emotion from the normally icy clone – and how it impacts her going forward:

"This is the beginning of something new for Rachel. This is the beginning of a little journey of seeing Rachel as a much more emotional character. This is a discovery for her. Her father, not biological father, but her father is not dead. And the discovery that Aldous Leekie killed her mother, and has kept this entire thing from her this entire time — it’s such a massive moment for this person. And as much as you want to paint her as a villain, and see her as sort of icy cold empowered woman, she’s still here, and this news has a massive impact on her."

The site also asked Fawcett whether he’s planning to pull another ‘Helena’ in Season 3 and have Leekie turn out to still be alive, to which he said:

"I don’t know, dude. That was clearly a bullet in the dead. That was, like, brains on the window. That one’s hard to fake."

Expectations/theories for the end of the season:

- Cosima will succumb to her illness.
- Beth isn't dead.
- Rachel doesn't join Clone Club. Gets more involved with Marian.
- More Mrs. S/Paul "alliance", becomes real, they build trust but probably dorsn't last long term.
- Kira's just a normal girl.
- Helena kills the/some Proletheans, doesn't carry her child. Gracie does.

Looking through the behind-the-scenes photos from season 2. All I see from this photo is "is the ball my monitor?" (io9 joke ripoff).

She's Wolverine.

The A.V. Club review pointed out how Mrs S. and Paul are both totally unreadable (for completely different reasons) and now I just laugh thinking of them interacting.
