i wish there was an app that could force a window to stay on top
Okay so I really need to free up some space on my 500gb hard drive. My Mac is telling my I have 11.18GB free out of 299GB (It's partioned because of my Windows 8 bootcamp).
But it also tells me 225.31GB of that data is "Other". I honestly have no idea what it is, can't figure out where to find it. Hell movies is only 39GB, which is lower than I though. I'm doing a lot of video recording which includes 1080p 60fps files.
What's the best app to help me find and delete all these files that I think are unnecessary.
Thank you!
Try Afloat.i wish there was an app that could force a window to stay on top
I mostly use Sublime Text 2. You should give it a try.Guys; I worked with Notepad++ on my Windows computer for HTML/PHP stuff, but I just can't find a good alternative for MacOS - care to help a brother out?

Do you just want another notepad like app or? Otherwise just jump on the bandwagon on something like Coda 2

People have been clamouring for an overhaul for years now.I like iTunes 11. But why does Apple have to keep redesigning their interfaces? I was just getting used to the last one...

I'm looking for an good app for music discovery. I'd like to simply choose a song and let the app create a playlist based on that song, which I can then edit either manually or by liking/not liking songs in the playlist.
I just tried Spotify which offers this kind of radio feature, but it's far from perfect. You can't go back in the playlist, you can't like/rate any previously played songs (only the current one), and worst of it, you don't actually see the next song unless you play it.
Discovr
I used it primarily on my iPhone, so I've never used the desktop version. I enjoyed the mind-map style of discovery and interface, although it's a lot different than a standard search style app; it's a very particular and niche product.
I don't know if it'll have some specific features you may want, but it's worth a shot.
Did you try turning it on in the menubar? You can easily get used to it being up there.I'm used to having a clock in the bottom right of windows. Anything like that on mac?

I assume you mean when you're in fullscreen right? Yeah. A silly oversight. They should make an option to keep the menubar shown at all times even in fullscreen. It's there on the menubar but I have to put my mouse there to see it.
If you don't need a fully featured app, Reader Notifier Reloaded + Google Reader website should be more than enough to handle anything. The website may need a few chrome addons to make it more.. better, but it can look pretty great with a bit of work.Is there ANY RSS app that does notifications right? Caffeinated just stops sending them after awhile...
You mean like this to copy and then Shift+Cmd+G to paste? Is there something like in Windows Explorer where I can find a file location and copy and paste in something similar to Windows Explorer and that location comes up? That's what I'm not liking about finder.

I find the big RSS apps to be sort of redundant

Hmmm...not so much. I'm thinking more like being able to copy a file location and put it into finder ie; Windows Explorer.
cmd+shift+G.
As for copying the current path: Either you get it from the information panel of the current folder (cmd+I) or you set up a simple AppleScript and put it in the Finder toolbar. Maybe it's possible with Automator as well; I'm on my phone currently and can't try it. And I'm pretty sure you can even assign a keyboard shortcut via the Keyboard prefpane.
edit: Here it is
In there if I click before the "|>" on Windows Explorer I can copy a location or paste a location from a website. I was looking to somehow be able to do that in finder. Now, above I was given an option to copy from but I'd still like to paste to.

but I'd still like to paste to.
Like I wrote, it's the shortcut cmd+shift+G. It's also in the Go menu in the menu bar ("Go to Folder").

cmd-shift-g in Finder.
I wonder when a real Facebook app is gonna come. Considering how good the Facebook posting integration is with OSX, it's kinda silly that the notifications take me to their website.
And no, not that menutab thingie. That is terrible. Maybe if Mac App Store devs could take a break from making note-taking apps...

Grabbed this yesterday. It was on offer at 69p.
Holy shit, this is amazing. Especially when you install some extensions. So powerful.
Damn. $5 here. I love the idea. Just not the price.https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/popclip/id445189367?mt=12&affId=2033768&ign-mpt=uo=4
