Yep, exact same shit. People start with the conclusion that Hillary is the devil because she's the devil and then look for any evidence or lack of evidence to "prove" it. Conspiracy theories are some scary shit because they infect people's minds like a cult.
 
It probably feels similar to how Sanders fans felt after the debate. They feel good about how their side presenting itself, but are dismayed at how extremely solid Hillary has been showing no weakness whatsoever.
 
Well, I agree with him that way need to drop parties. I think a good idea would be to make "parties" just be PACs, but people don't have a party associated to them so there wouldn't be a R or a D next to their name on the ballot.

Parties tend to force people to vote down party lines, and it happens on both sides.

The party system isn't the biggest issue though, so I don't really think about it.

Citizen's United is the worst thing about the country, basically, in terms of our democracy and how it acts. It's effects are worse for local and state legislation. Positions that are small enough to not get that much attention if someone is bank rolling people in a state they want something done in.
 
Republicans all have the same talking points, it's crazy how much they believe the propaganda. I constantly hear "no amount of money is too much if your son or daughter died" bullshit from the Republican callers.

Well I guess those same people would be fine with the US spending billions or trillions going after Bush, Cheney and others over 9/11 and Iraq then? You know, given the thousands of lives lost, not 4….
