Great, this is the character we get this time.

First off, there is, according to Sorian, no correlation between heroes and their alignment. Reaper could be town for all I know. I suspect Zeke, but I don't know his alignment other than the fact that it isn't town, since he's for some reason counterclaiming my role - why he would do this I have no idea, but since I'm WM and Town, he can't be either of those things.

Second, if I am a Lyncher, why would I
A) Be pushing for a Verelios lynch
or
B) suggesting either someone ELSE kill Zeke tonight, or if you're worried about that, protect/switch him?

That doesn't make any sense if I'm a Lyncher.

The simplest explanation is that I caught Verelios as scum and Zeke is trying super hard to save his buddy.

Hi Cherry Bomb.

The Mccreed claim for Ouro was a joke. Can you share more read outside of the Vere/Ouro/Eze matter? What's your opinion on the rest of the players? Who do you feel is town and who is mafia?

I don't remember if Kingkitty did the same, but if he didn't please share your reads with us.

The big question here is: WHY? why would mafia put a second member in the spotlight? There are 22 players, so likely mafia will have 4 members at most (5 is unlikely has it would be a bit too much) so WHY would you risk half your team at the second day? To kill a cop who has already claimed? It doesn't make sense. Or they are the worst mafia team ever or you are lying to kill the widowmaker.

We can know all of this with just lynching you this phase. 2 scum for a cop who has revealed himself is a good enough trade for me.

I think 5 is more likely. 5 v 17 seems like a more even number for balance.
As for why he did it? No idea. But wasting potential investigations when we have a perfectly good scum on the hook? I don't even know why this is an argument.

I know nothing about Overwatch but maybe someone can help. As several player said there is a relation between the roles and their abilities. Is there in the game someone who has a grudge against the Widowmaker?

Don't go down this road, who is mafia and who is town isn't a simple "lol the bad characters are mafia" route, as Sorian says you shouldn't try to determine alignment based off of flavor

If there's five scum, I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to bus one but two would make no sense.

Between the three of them, I'm guessing one's town, one's neutral, and one is scum.

He said that town and mafia are randomized, not a neutral with a lynching objetive. As several people had said the roles had relation with their powers. Maybe it isn't to weird and it's lore-related.

I'll say this right now, alignments of the roles aren't based off of how characters align in-game but abilities are explictly tied to what characters can do in-game.

I'm positive Sorian said Town and Scum specifically so that he didn't imply the existence of a neutral, if there even is one. I think you're making a huge assumption here.

Ok, based off of everything I've read today, here's my (probably bullshit) theory on how everything is.

Ouro is telling the truth that he's a cop. BUT, his personal win-state is tied to finding and killing Widowmaker. Based off of how he was reading Vere on D1, he investigated him on N1 to see if he was WM. He foud out Vere is scum, but he's not WM. So on D2 he fake-claimed WM to draw out the real one, and Zeke fell for it easily. So his plan is to have Vere lynched today and not Zeke, because he has to personally kill Zeke himself on N2.

Sorian isn't the kind of person to write game hints in the flavor text.

"Heroes" is quite literally a generic term for the playable characters of Overwatch. That's all.

I....I don't even know what to tell you guys anymore. There's no catch. I'm not hunting for anyone other than scum. If you want to lynch fucking Sophia today, then whatever. I can't shoot anyone, I don't have any abilities other than investigation.

But if that were true, then it would tie into the lore, and Ouro would probably be Tracer or something.

And if he has a personal win state, doesn't that directly go against the interests of town? So is he a neutral?

All in all it's kind of a farfetched scenario. And if my flavor is anything to go off of, I doubt Ouro's role would be as crazy as that.

A cop who can NK? Isn't it too OP?

Maybe he has 1 time powers as the ones that Nin and Eze claimed to have, he used his investigative power on Vere and found scum and he will use his NK in Eze to fullfil his win condition? It could be. And the best way to prove it it would be to lynch Ouro. If this scenario is true we could kill Vere the next phase. And we can suspect of Nin being neutral too.

I'm going to sleep. I hope we can have something more concrete tomorrow.

Or we lynch Verelios and/or Zeke and I don't leave the game. I don't go anywhere until the end of the game, when (hopefully) town wins.

While I initially considered neutral lyncher Ouro as a possibility, it becomes very flawed when you think he found his target day one, hounded him, checked his target overnight and confirmed the target.

Don't believe in neutral lyncher Ouro.

New potential theory :

Ouros claim and subsequent call out of vere has scum crap themselves, vere is the strong man. If he dies, it's unlikely scum can kill Ouro tonight. Scum get desperate and scum eze counter claims to try and save strong man vere to waste cop Ouro.

I love theories.

I'm concerned also with the narrative trying to be shifted to Ouro vs Zeke, it's almost like Verelios has been pushed away from the spotlight.

This is being made way more complicated than it needs to be and wasting a ton of time. We could've been got a flip on Ouro and a slew of questions answered instead you guys want to argue yourselves to death on random theories half of which don't make sense. Fran, me and I think splinter have laid out things in the simplest way.

What would you guys do if someone claimed your character? I'm just wondering because apparently I was suppose to keep quiet and let Ouro continue his lie?
