Well artist claimed the Skyfall OT so he will be doing it. Not sure what happend to Mr. Sam since he was supposed to do this OT unless he let Sculli do it.

I won't do an OT because it seems so shill-y. I'd consider doing one for something only I care about and I think isn't going to get recognised.

My style is more doing really in-depth LTTP/RTTP threads when the initial 12 months of 'Sacred Cow' status has died down and you can discuss something somewhat objectively without having the swarming masses jump on you.

One of my favourite OTs of all time is Chinner's Dead Rising 2 OT2. I also love it whenever Evilore throws his hat in and makes a jokey OT for a game. His Dragon Age ones are a joy.

OTs are first "create new thread" hitter, first serve. They can't be "called". Not that I particularly care who does them, but the notion of someone reserving the right to a thread is beyond silly.

Holy fuck :lol :lol :lol :lol

smh, GAF
If you want to do a company's advertising for them for free, you've got to register the right!

And excessively quick cut editing.
Quick? Yes. Excessive? Hell no. It wasn't some sloppily put together Nolan action sequence or an extract from Quantum of Solace. The entire thing made perfect action, spacial and continuity sense. It had periods of longer cuts to emphasise the quicker cuts more... man, I love it.

Solo, Craig-Bond avatars don't suit you. Go back to Connery.

I can understand wanting to avoid duplicate threads but I think "calling" threads nearly a year in advance is weird.
It's creepy and rude. The general etiquette is that the particular GAF sub-community has a discussion and then, once it has been decided, the claim gets made to set it in stone.

I agree that claiming an OT so far in advance is kind of weird. I tried to bring up some type of guideline that could be placed on claiming film OTs in that thread but it went nowhere.

I have not seen Kingdom of Heaven, so I can't comment on the entire film. Maybe it fits in well. But watching it now, I thought it was very poorly put together. I find that kind of strobe editing hugely detracting from the film.

I think it is mostly so two people don't waste a lot of time trying to make a good OT to only have one be used.

This way, only one person wastes a lot of time.

You need to step away from the PC and take a few deep breaths, not everything revolves around you.

Did you claim it? I didnt see it in the OP. Let me check the rest of the thread.

This guy.

This KoH: DR better be good, because the theater cut I saw was a crock of SHIT.

Between that, a Good Year, Body of Lies, and Robin Hood, I haven't really enjoyed any of Scott's films since Black Hawk Down. I liked the Denzel Washington parts in American Gangster, too, I suppose.

I'll be in the Los angeles area that week... Where the hell should I go to watch this movie?

I did go see MI:3 at the Arclight in hollywood. Dunno if there's better theatres in the LA area.

Universal Citywalk IMAX or the IMAX at The Rave 18 at Promenade. Otherwise, Arclights are the best, but this movie should probably be seen on IMAX.

You really shouldn't be allowed to call multiple threads, Considering they will be the biggest winter movies.
Two months apart, plenty of time for me to work on 'em.

You checked the almost 3000 post Hobbit thread in that amount of time? You're good I must admit.
No I didnt and I wont. There is a sanctioned OT thread for that. I wont scour the corners of GAF with a broken search function.

Hey, I found my way in. Somehow missed the quiet eye video first time around. Noomi Rapace makes me deeply unsettled.

I'll be working during the day on the 1st of June but I'm going to see if I can book to see a showing that night after work. I hate packed theaters - I just don't want to wait a moment longer than I absolutely have to.

Oh, its Solo's buddy who chose to ignore his meltdown posts. ;)

I'm not ignoring anything. It looks like you're the one having a meltdown.

I'm gonna go ahead and claim every cool movie's OT from this december through 2014 and then post a "sogood.gif" when people get annoyed because they find it to be poor forum etiquette. Oh wait, that would be a dick move to the rest of movie-GAF who like to photoshop banners and gather info for their favorite upcoming films.

Case in point.

On the subject of OTs, and seeing as you're all in such jovial moods, here's the under construction OT I was working on before I relinquished OT duties to Sculli, buried deep in the catacombs of the old thread, waiting to be discovered by space archeologists:

Coincidentally, I quoted the only bit I liked about it.

Only posting to subscribe to the thread and to point out that I was stronger than all of you and didn't get spoiled by the third trailer ahuahauhauha

nice OT

I've seen some spoilery things, but in the grand scheme of things Trailer 2 was the one full of the most spoilers.

Except the one that's now the
centrepiece of the latest poster, of course.
