I've been meaning to watch the series for awhile now, due to it being Gainax and my feeling a need to see everything they've made, but I've heard some conflicting reports on whether I should watch the sub or not. I'm not against a good dub, but generally I'm not their biggest fan either, especially female Funimation voice actors (Nothing sexist, they all just kind of have the same voice quality.) but from what I've seen the show is a parody of more American cartoons like Power Puff Girls and what have you, so I'm completely at a loss as to what I should choose. Help me out, GAF senpai.

Also, this is my first thread so I'm not entirely sure if this is an acceptable type of thread. If it isn't then just lock it or whatever.

Definitely sub. The japanese "FUCK"s are hilarious.

One of the very, very few anime I'd recommend watching the dub instead of the sub.

I originally watched it with subs and it was just okay. The dub really cranks the humor up and makes it a more enjoyable show overall.

The sub's pseudo English cursing I felt was part of the charm.

100% the dub. The dub is really good, not only the voice acting, but the writing is better. The point of the series is that it parodies western cartoons and stuff. The jokes come across a lot better in the dub. It's still pretty great and funny in the sub, but I thought the dub was much better. So yeah, definitely dub, it's funnier.

Sadly this. The voices in the dub are fine, but it seems like they tried to ramp up the edginess by being as vulgar and crass as possible. My girlfriend and I watched the entire series one afternoon and you know you have a problem when you switch from the dub back to sub because there is too much cursing for you and you both are military affiliated.

I prefer the sub, but the dub aint bad if you're really into not watching subbed.
