Parents 'waterboarded' daughter, 9, after she left bed to get a drink

Redneckerz

Those long posts don't cover that red neck boy
Fucking hell. Just take these idiots out back and use a couple of bullets.
Effin heck man, you really like using The Opinion of The Underbelly (Also a book) as your first instinctive response huh.

That said, #onlyinamerica. And i am allowed to say that, as i am from Europe and this is a common joke here.

It wouldn't be a joke if it weren't true, no?

this is what happens when an entire country spends a decade plus normalizing torture, through state-media collaborative propoganda efforts pushign multiple wars, through mainstream TV like 24 and the West Wing that glorified abusive state power to great critical and audience acclaim. Jack Bauer was a national hero who tortured people on the reg for pretty much the entire decade.

during the first decade of the War on Terror i was in public college, mostly art classes, so i was around more artsy types, and it was kind of a culture shock to go to my non-major classes. there was an Intro to Communications class that was my first w the general population and on the first day they asked what people wanted to be. almost everyone wanted to be CSI, go into forensics, detective work, etc. they were inspired by Law and Order and CSI and perhaps even wanted to do good, to fix the justice system. really they had two career paths: work for the police/justice system, or go into public service, work for the deep state, the CIA, FBI, etc. this question was put to my friends at more technical colleges as well, who were pressured to going into aerospace/defense industry post college. everyone is kind of funneled into this system, and the media brainwashes people, enforcing certain behaviors, aggressively recruiting talent for this unaccountable, murderous, spying multi-tentacled invisible beast.

the media fosters a fetishization of authority, it glorifies state power, it normalizes state violence. the state sets an example to some degree, so if people see the state getting away w shit, odds are they will feel no moral quandry w doing so themselves.

Oh cmon. This shit is not normal. These people are freaks.

This is not an "American" thing. I love how people love to take incidents and try to frame it into a "Oh America again" It's a big country guys.

Are you weak? Quote people.

If you are offended by a guess I would maybe slow down. Maybe some Christians are offended by radicalism.

What a stupid thing to say. Christianity has nothing to do with this awful couple that doesn't understand not to use CIA torture methods on a child. They should both be in prison, but take your atheist preaching out of here.

Thanks dude. I mean, if you were really reading, you would see that I was *hypothesizing* and *not talking to you,* coupled with a chastening statement about *enter situations in which radical Christians perform terrible acts* being a Christian and all. But it's all right, I get it.

No matter. Please, have way with your insult! I felt bad about myself, being on the Internet with my friends and all. Good to have you on NeoGAF. Hope to see you around more, "Sacred!" :messenger_beaming:
