I loved the first one, but stopped playing after a year and a half, when I realized the game wasn't for me.
Every season - even when I only played in the normal realm - all my builds became obsolete because of "balance" changes, and I had to make them from scratch. I quickly gave up because having to find an level all-new gems (since the old ones suddenly had higher requirements and I couldn't even equip them) to make the builds work again was a pain. So I rage-quit like I've never rage-quit a game ever:
- emptied my stuff into the guild stash. I was the only active player left, so that stuff might still be there if GGG didn't purge it.
- deleted all my chars
- uninstalled the game
- deleted my account on GGG's website
- deleted the game from my Steam library
- hid the game from the Steam store
So even if I ever wanted to play the game again, I couldn't even do it unless I made a new Steam account specifically for it.
Apparently the skill gems system is a lot less rigid this time around, not sure I'll give it a try though.
sadly I'm stuck at work for 3 more hours. So plenty of time to decide. Can't wait to play!
