I'm not trusting this image based on Japan alone. That country's culture puts a major emphasis on cleanliness, so it seems unlikely they wouldn't make sure to keep their own bodies clean.

You missed 'appearance of' there.

If I dont take a shower every morning, Im groggy and feel like shit. It has nothing to do with cleanliness. I dont even shampoo my hair or use soap every day. I do use a bidet unlike most of the U.S so no need to shower but I HAVE to. Sometimes I take 2 showers a day because showers are awesome.

Body odor is mostly because due to sweaty armpits and chest hair. Just use some axe spray and you should be fine. People dont sweat when sitting on their desks all day and then watching tv the rest of the day. Showering everyday isnt neccessary if you use a fucking bidet everyday. That is the big issue here.

I shower at least once a day, but I also wonder about the specific questioning. You could be someone that showers every couple days but on the off days does a standing wash by a sink twice a day, which doesn't count a bath or shower but still keeps the important bits plenty clean. In that circumstance you'd in some ways be cleaner than someone that showers once a day.

Never mind just butts, but washing in general. Like washing their hands after using the bathroom.

You can tell who has and who hasnt because if someone comes out of the bathroom after you hear a flush and you go in and notice the sink isn't wet, you know they didnt washed their hands.

At my work, many dudes dot wash their hands. I'll be taking a shit in a stall and hear guys come in and use the urinal. Instead of hearing them use the faucet and grabbing some paper towels from the dispenser, the only thing I hear is them going out the door.

I wash my ass everytime I take shit (unless at work), wash my feet everyday, wash my hands many times per day and wash my hair 3x times\week. There is no need to wash entire body everyday in colder climate so i take bath 1x or 2x a week. I don't sweat in my work so i also don't feel any need to do it more often. Of course in summer i wash entire body basically every day.

I have a quick shower when I wake up in the morning to get me ready for the day and a longer one or bath in the evening! UK. Can't believe people go without having a shower every day here? Dirty smelly fuckers. Although clearly the necessity is greater in warmer climates.

Yeah seems about right for India. 1.3 billion people with around 60% living in rural areas with general water scarcity.
