I meant to do it but forgot, had the scene cut and everything. I will finish it later.

Cant unsee, but I hate how Kara has her gun pointed up on her shot but on John's shot the she gun is pointed down. Why directors/actors always get these back and forth shots wrong. Still an awesome unnerving scene with Kara.

Doesn't seem to be back on the air till January 31st. So, 3 weeks out.

Well, good thing is, we're only just halfway through the season.

Finch is a BEAST at cover-ups.

Now we know where Reese learned his trademark "ram the car killing everyone but the important passenger" trick.

I hope Fusco randomly being a super badass becomes a running gag.

THIS SHOW IS SO FUCKING GOOD (AND GETS BETTER WITH EVERY EPISODE).

I FEEL LIKE SHEDDING MAN-TEARS RIGHT NOW BECAUSE OF HOW GOOD THIS SHOW IS AND I'VE BEEN WITH IT SINCE THE BEGINNING

YES, I'M TYPING IN ALL CAPS.

This was me once the episode ended:

What a fucking episode. Holy shit. I'm trying so hard to process everything. Is Donnelly dead-dead!? Kara has John in her clutches!? Finch suited up with a grenade launcher and riot cop uniform!? Elias!? John and Kara hooked up!? The Machine with all the phones!? Is The Spook still in jail!?

My mind... this episode... one of the best... fuck... I need to rewatch this.

So fucking badass.

Seriously, I woke up today, and I was still thinking about how awesome an episode this was.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. So good.

So, Kara and John were lovers. This is still blowing my mind. Man, she just seems to have gone full-on Root crazy. Though unlike Root, Kara vastly seems to prefer hands-on carnage.

Seems to be getting more and more active. Seeing quite a few people in the thread saying they picked up on the show just recently. Keep spreading the word.

finally went out and bought Season 1 on blu ray. Been awhile since I've seen those earlier episodes

I have a feeling that there werent a whole lot of feelings involved.

Well, this show just keeps getting better. I guess it's time to be more active in this thread, since Fringe is coming to a close and I need another TV show discussion thread to keep me entertained

So are we gonna have a reversal of the reese-tracking-down-root-to-find-finch plot now? It's surprising how this show has managed to keep the main character away from his usual role for what now will be at least 3 episodes, and I'm not even mad.

Can't quote it enough. So Awesome! The development of Fusco has been one of the best things about the show.

Just caught up with the last two episodes. Jesus! This show is more entertaining than most movies. I hope the viewership continues to increase. The last episode was without a doubt the best yet. They managed to bring in almost all the major players and tie it in so well. I was so amazed with how much they managed to pack into the hour, I kept thinking the show was over only halfway through.
Maybe the producers are trying to say something about blondes being sweethearts and brunettes being dark-haired vixens.
Didn't Root dye her hair Blonde (or wasn't her character originally a Blonde as a child) when we saw her last?

Didn't Root dye her hair Blonde (or wasn't her character originally a Blonde as a child) when we saw her last?

The innocence of the child (blonde) was destroyed and she grew up to be a genius criminal (brunette) who has now disguised herself after her life-changing encounter with Finch (Blonde again).

It's so subtextual and deep.

lol

just realized that Agent Donnally is in that Geico commercial, with Eddie Money as the travel agent, singing his "2 tickets to paradise" song. :lol

watched the extended Pilot. Seems like they removed/changed lines, mostly around plot points they later went into (like Carter's military background, and more info on the machine}

Pretty sure they changed a lot since the pilot, in general as the scenes in the pilot that were in the extended version were some flashbacks between John/Jessica were longer and they cut a few scenes like Reese being in the apartment of that ex-con.

Almost certain the dialog between Reese and Finch about the machine while in the park was unchanged.

Yeah, I meant some little bits were added in other scenes. That park scene seemed the same.

They added some on that last scene of them in the park together. Also, Finch gave John that apartment, whereas in the regular show, it was halfway through the year when Finch gave the room to him (more like giving John a "present" versus that pilot, he snuck it to him under the premise of having John break into a location for info)

Just saw the latest episode and FUCK! If I knew the next one would be on Jan. 31, I'd never would have watched...now I need to know what happens next!

So, with Donnelly dead, I take it John and Carter's cover are still intact if and when they get out? Speaking of which, I wonder how they'll explain Kara not killing her off? This is with the assumption that Carter will still be around by season's end, of course.

There are just so many subplots and plot twists that need to be answered. But they're made in a way that isn't confusing or annoying as hell. The Machine's AI seems to be growing, Fuscoe still in deep with HR and we have no clue what they (he) will do next, John and Carter might be hostages of Kara -- whom we have no clue what her end game is, Finch's lady love still not knowing he's alive (because you know she'll know eventually), that DoD guy who ordered the spook to kill all 4 of the suit guys, etc.

Can't wait till all of these get resolved. Just happy that PoI is doing gangbusters in ratings. That means it will be renewed for Season 3 for sure, if it hasn't been so already.

Bring on January 31, bitches! But make sure John gets to cap a few knees to make up for his inactivity for almost three episodes.

Kara didn't have to kill Carter because Carter didn't saw her, I bet if Donnelly was unconscious too he would have been alive

I doubt Kara killed Donnelly because he saw her.

While it made sense Donnelly going after Reese and Carter without backup because he did not know who to trust, it is convenient the only loose end connecting Reese to "the man in suit" investigation was Donnelly. Kara must had known about Donnelly's investigation so killing him closes that problem and the machine would not have given Donelly's SSN unless he was specifically being targeted.
