Added 'soon' in the gif and adjusted the frame speed.

Just saw the last two. Awesome stuff. Shame the ratings are down, but they're still doing well for CBS in general.

Two thoughts:

I don't necessarily trust the leader of Decima when he gives out the name 'Harold Finch'; that's literally all he knows, which coud just be a red herring for the viewers. Who knows, perhaps Nathan was on the irrelevant list for the wrong reason, and was setting up to frame Finch. Looking forward to seeing what comes out of that storyline.

I don't understand being on Root's side of the machine memory reset issue. Imagine the problems that could arise if you let this thing continually re-write and change its' own code? Far worse than the alternative. It's a computer, after all.

But not in her mind. Remember, she considers sentient AI life essentially sacred. Harold figured out a way to render the Machine half brain-dead/crippled, and she considers it morally wrong.

Cause she's fucking crazy.

Absolutely. She's a psycho.

But I've seen a lot of "I'm leaning toward taking the side of Root on this one, guys" on many different websites, which was the point I meant to make.

this show is so serialized now CBS will fuck it if it doesn't keep to a regular schedule. even as an avid fan i'm having trouble following some plot points because I forget so much due to the show not being on every week. but man that fucking episode was great. i might have to start reading POI wikis and listening to podcasts as this show is getting really deep.

That ending was phenomenal. I had a feeling what would happen as the end was approaching but the sensation of Reese's salvation and enormous power being close at hand was something else. What sold me was the end dialogue, however.

I looked on imdb and sure enough, it was the highest rated episode of this season.

The show has become ever so subtly more sci-fi and I love it.

"After 1.618 seconds, it resets..." The Golden Ratio. What a nerdy reference.

I know it's only Season 2, but so far this is probably the most consistently good show I've seen. There's no filler; everything moves at a brisk pace and they still manage to throw surprises at you.

showed my sister and brother-in-law the 1st episode today. Finally turned it off for the night, after "Witness", which I think is episode 7, and they like it. Taking my Blu Ray set with them home to finish it out.

When is the Season 2 soundtrack coming out?

We have to convert everyone possible.
Good job.

CBS has a page of various BTS and recaps with J Nolan, on previous episodes.

Seeing the recap to Zero Day, what Nolan says about what the next episode and it's "God Mode" ability of unfettered access to the knowledge of the machine, basically sounds like the abilities of Watch_Dog. Access to ATM, safe codes, pin numbers, electrical grids, etc etc etc.

Hope it shows some crazy stuff tomorrow night.

Also, super old, but now with the magic of GifCam, I went back and looked at the serial killer episode, and noticed this:

Finch on the left, killer on the right.

Noticed that the killer started to walk with the similar limp in his left leg, as Finch does. Someone probably mentioned it back then. Just a little bit of acting

You know Lonestar, it's very eerie how close we find information about POI.

I was on the CBS website looking for information in the 'Zero Day' and 'In Extremis' recaps to get hints on what may come in the season finale just 10 minutes before you posted that link.

I'm becoming more obsessed with this show. I've been watching the Finch flashback episodes for the past three days to find clues of what machine capabilities could be unlocked for 'God Mode'.

I am at maximum hype levels, bring us home Nolan and Co.

Probably got it from twitter. Think I'm following Carter on POI, and she retweeted the POI twitter account, who was linking that page. That's how I ended up there.

Interesting, I just finished watching another episode and figured their might have been something on the website to glean more clues.

On the front page, they have a sneak peak at a scene tonight. First time I think I've seen POI have one of these.

It's a scene between Carter and the HR Cop who set her up. He reveals who he works for, threatens her, Fusco and her kid. For her to "sit there and take it" meaning take the blame for the killing last week. But Carter has one little cell phone trick up her sleeve.

But this sneak peak, oh holy shiiiiit. It's for right after the end of last weeks episode.

So I have a question... Will the machine think John is the admin from now on? It says seeking admin, so will it still look out for Harold or will it think John is the person to call with the numbers/protect like it has for Harold?

Well I know it will in god mode, I'm just curious what will happen after the 24 hours if no one finds it.

Could be what the episode is about. Perhaps the last admin standing. Or hell, it decides which admin it wants. Or perhaps Finch/Reese are in a rush to reintroduce the Irrelevant List backdoor into The Machine. With a complete reboot, it's possible that the Nathan addition was wiped completely, and it would go back to the original design of the Relevant List only.

Tam:

at first, Root's line made me think she's wondering "how is he getting info on incoming hostiles", but then I realized, she meant How had he been following them. I'd imagine the Machine will lead her to the Bug in Harold's glasses.

here's what sucks

Less than 24 hours to go before the end of the season..

:(

Heh, taking and applying lessons from our vigilante boys. Not watching the other one.

I guess it really all comes down to how many emotions the machine still has and what it wants.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiit that sneak peek! Hyped.

Just looking into how the topic has ramped up as the season has gone along (hoping it'd proved that the GAF audience is growing).

Sitting at 230 days since the topic started on 9/21, and 1595 posts (when I started looking). The halfway point for the post came on 2/14/2013 (84 days ago, 146 days after it started). So, we've definitely picked up in the 2nd half of the season.

Months look something like this:

September-102
October-143
November-90
December-112
January-208
February-404
March-215 (Basketball)
April-203 (More breaks!)
May-121

February Sweeps might be a Thing.

Of course, NotTheGuyYouKill, Nobility and myself make up about 40% of the posts here, so maybe we just spam more :lol

Love the breakdown, bro.

We're the heroes that Nolan deserves. But not the ones it needs right now. It needs you, GAF. This show is for you. More viewers for Season 3! Tell everybody.

Another comparison:

Person of Interest Season 1 had a grand total of 803 posts compared to Season 2, with 1595. Even with us spamming, it's still a nice little bump. I expect Season 3 to tick up.

Also, Season 3 OT, I'm calling it again. Would like to do a superior OT than S2's.

I am so ready for this finale. Unfortunately I always end up watching a day late, but for next season, I will be live-watching with you guys.

I would definitely comment a lot more if I watched live. Love this show, trying to get some more of my friends to watch it, but no luck so far :(
