Persona 4 The Golden and Persona 4 The Ultimate in Mayonaka Screenshots

Holy crap. Atlus is on FIRE. They have some savvy folks running the joint.

So do we know yet if there will be a FeMC in the P4 port?

what the FUCK man .. why can't they just bring the Persona 4 Golden thing to 360 and PS3 too -_-

hope they DO eventually ..
They wont, a PS3&360 release would be too much of a hassle (improving textures, art and 2D stuff for 720P). Vita release is nice and easy.

Goddamn the fighting game looks great, I'll buy 10 copies if they make Rise playable :(!

I think one of the screenshots suggests she will still be in some form of support role, I'm guessing some sort of announcer?

She retains her role from Persona 4, which means you'll hear her during battles but not fight.

Or so it would appear from the screens.

I'm okay with this as long as Teddie is also an announcer.

Persona 4 really cleaned up nicely, didn't it. It looks very clean in HD. Big jump over the PS2 version!

Ultimate in Mayonaka looks good also. Arc better do those characters justice and make a good game.
Sorry to break this to you...

Their actions in the past doesn't make this any less disappointing for me. I'd be more excited for this if it had around 20 characters to begin with rather than being hopefully optimistic there might be a version with 20 characters 3-4 years from now. I'm sure it'll be good though and there's still a good chance I'll buy it, but a low amount of characters does hurt the replayability for me. You can argue it doesn't for you and that's fine but not everyone enjoys the same things in the games they play.

Well, that's the price to be paid, for ASW opting to stick with their MO.

Besides, from the business angle, it makes sense. No reason to pour in more resources until it's a definite that the game does well enough to warrant an update/sequel and both parties touch and agree on continuing to work together to make them happen. (These both are the kind of things that spelled doom for both HnK and SBX, alike.)

Maybe this will finally be the licensed/franchise fighting game that ASW can stand to stick with for a while. :lol

I knew it would look amazing with Arc involved. This came out of nowhere but I am very interested to see how it turns out and happy they came up with the idea to do it in the first place, I would have never guessed persona taking a turn at the fighting genre.

Question: Why am I much more excited about this fighting game compared to UMVC3? I mean, fuckin' Phoenix Wright! BU-BU-BU

DAT CHIIIIEEEEEE

Because in the end, it's "just" Marvel. And we've seen Marvel before. We don't need more of it.

Aw man, just noticed her pic on the corner talking. Atlus sucks.
They should make her Broken Tier with lots of full screen counters and self healing and 1 hit kills.

Now I'm all about seeing Yukari. Make it happen Atluuuusssss.

In my case, because UMVC3 netcode will be ass. Arksys delivers. Also, Mitsuru (I hope).

the only thing better is than three Chies are four Chies!
You know what's cooler than four Chies?

Halloween in Inaba should be entertaining. I'm glad to see that along with the additional content, the game looks just as good as it did on the PS2.

And the fighting game looks sweet. The wait for Persona 5 sure got a lot easier with these announcements.

So Persona 4 The Ultimate in Mayonaka will be like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure?
Also, why am I not seeing Teddie in his Alice getup?!

That fighting game looks nice. I hope it plays fast like ArkSys's other games. I wonder how long we have to wait until after it goes to arcade. I also wonder what this means for another GG game. I thought I had heard they just got the license back.

By looking at this:

Kanji = Emperor
P4 Protagonist = Fool
P3 Protagonist or Aigis? = Fool
Fuuka or Yukiko? = High Priestess
Chie = Chariot
Yosuke = Magician

They correspond to their following tarot, not sure about the P3 ones though. So yeah, at least Kanji is confirmed.

What?

You mean the fact that P4 on the PS2 looks damned good on an HD T.V. as well as running widescreen?

*Goes back to Heaven in his current run of P4 on his Panny L3*

Played through Persona 4 twice and watched two funny guys play through it once but sure give me more of it Atlus. I'll play your funky fighting game too.

I could see him having a sort of El Fuerte/Blanka type trolling aspect to his playstyle, just because he'll probably be one of the faster/mobile characters.

Who knows though. From what I've played of BlazBlue I'm kinda assuming each character will have pretty distinct gameplay, though perhaps not to the extent of BlazBlue.

I really need to beat P3P. I can wait for P4G (even though I like the characters way more in P4), but I need to at least beat one of the modern Persona games so not every spoiler will kill the games for me.

I liked P4 more than P3, but Junpei >>>>>>>>>> Yosuke.

They were both irrationally attached to some chick, but at least Junpei's actually reciprocated in the end. Yosuke spent the whole game whining about a girl who barely even acknowledged his existence.
