Isn't there a legitimate possibility of their being multiple high schools in this area? Shoot, maybe party members from multiple schools this time around, too.

I just opened up my YouTube app straight after I woke up for no real reason and I swear I thought I was still asleep when I saw a random Persona 5 trailer from Atlus.

PS4 YEEEES (I am extremely excited right now)

Funny thing is I went on to YouTube to look at the P4D trailer again and now we're getting 5 before 4D.

The proportions are all sorts of messed up, and the "P5" was clearly hand-drawn and vectorized, but not in a good way. The 5 looks fine, but the counter in the P needs to be bigger for something so bottom-heavy.

Eh, I'll get over it.

That's exactly what I think too. It makes too much sense for this to not be the case.

We have had "shooting yourself in the head", "cards", and this was pretty much the only I can think of that made sense.

This is great and all but I it'd be cool to go back to the Eternal Punishment days of playing as adults as opposed to school kids again.

Although to be fair we've only seen one actual character so far. One can dream!! Let's positive thinking!!!

It also makes sense because they could use the Phones as the Main Menu, that would be awesome since P3/4 menus are really stylish and smooth.

Totally, but assuming that they're not going to revamp the social link system significantly, that'd mean less opportunities to socialize with them.

Some thoughts:

1) The new character is very much what I expected, but at the same time, I'm relieved after Arena and Ultimax's shonky designs. I understand why they looked like they did, but I'm still happy to see that Soejima has maintained a sense of actual style and fashion.

2) I was pretty much dead on with the visual style (Though maybe because it wasn't hard to guess?). A bright, modern city, bright white buildings, blue skies, etc.

3) I think the protagonist is going to be more of an outcast than previous protagonists. The tone that the trailer gave me was that he's just a face in the crowd, rather than the center of attention. The bullying thing that RyougaSatome posted about backs this up.

4) Sad we didn't get to hear any music, but I'm still betting electronica.

Indeed.

Not only that but we have had a game that actually made use of the cell phone feature: Catherine.

Maybe this time we will get to interact with our social links by phone/internet? A little expansion on how Catherine did it.

That would be amazing!

Not really. All you'd have to do is go meet them in town during the after school times like you do out of school social links.

Yeah, I think it's the outfit...

Because I actually really dig the glasses/hair. The turtleneck just looks bleh. Of course that is just being nitpicky. I love the overall design, and the trailer was awesome. So excited!

Kinda hope the shackles aren't representative of the playable characters.

Mainly just because I want to a good selection of party members :(

Though a strong well developed five person team would be neat too.

Fuck I'm so hyped for this. I can't wait to see more.

Just saw some screenshots......hype, hype, hype, hype. Ill watch the trailer when I get home.

So glad this is coming to ps4. The main character looks identical to my younger brother. :/ ill pay a visit to his school later on and tell u guys what the new p5 school looks like lol.
